"It's not your fault." "Don't fuck with me Sean, not you too."
Will Hunting, the only fucking person to solve the equation put up by Lambeau. Lambeau wanted his genius, and he was willing to help until he was not.
One sentence that could describe Will; burnt-out gifted kid. Sound familiar? someone who is so insanely smart that they know something about everything under the sun, someone whose is so humble about it yet when challenged is guaranteed to shove a stick up your ass and ask you how you like them apples. someone who is so fucking traumatised and clueless that he just wants the world to hold onto him.
That is until he met Sean Maguire
The man who saw through the confident, snobby exterior of his to find a kid scared shitless of the future, only looking at the negative in the grand scheme of things. But i mean, could ya blame him?
it was after a lot that Will came out of his demons and yes i am aware how poorly written this is but bear with me while i compare myself to this genius of a man. The man is gifted, i am not, the man sees math in a way that i could never. He is charismatic and passionate about knowing in ways i could only ever dream to be. but we are the same in terms of one thing
wasted fucking potential
i want a lot of things in this world but i am lazy. thats the simplest solution i have come up with because i too am scared shitless of the stuff i’d find out about myself. I am a pathetic fucking lowlife who had the potential to be insanely smart (not in terms of bookish knowledge but actual stuff) instead is now a waste of time and space.
he got off his ass, to meet about a girl albeit.
here "i" is a reminder. not me complaining about MY life but the reader who needs a wake up like the writer did.
wasted potential will screw you up more than you know. I know you feel like you've had a feel of it but trust me there is far worse and no you're not getting out of it but maybe you'll handle it better.
try.
Will Hunting is the burnt-out gifted child that makes it. At this rate, if you don't try you won't.
