you ever think about how keqing’s workaholic nature maybe comes from a form if impostor syndrome. (: she knows she’s doing a good job , knows she can prove her parents wrong when they said she’d never make it ( which is a completely different hc for later ) , but she’s also ... probably really good at bottling things in order to work. maybe there are times where she sits back and thinks ‘ am i really enough ? ‘

i see keqing as demiromantic , but also ... she’s very close to the aromantic spectrum ? she’s not incapable of having feelings for anyone , but they are very rare to come by &. don’t come easy. she can think someone is attractive ( at first ) , but that doesn’t ... exactly mean she wants to pursue them. i am thinking.

okay so , in many pieces of media it’s extremely common for rich kids to pick up some sort of talent , right ? piano , violin , calligraphy ( side note : keqing’s incredibly talented at this , her handwriting is gorgeous. ) , ect. keqing’s hobby of choice was learning to fight , specifically with swords. even as a child this meant having control where it wouldn’t be otherwise , considering her parents still made a majority of her choices for her , much to her dismay. using a sword &. knowing how to fight meant personal strength , self discipline , appreciation for the finer crafts she would later grow into as she became older. i’m also certain this is just one of the many factors that led her to accepting everything the gods have done for humanity as well , because out of all people keqing knows very well that things don’t just happen over night ; no one suddenly wakes up one morning &. decides to to protect an entire group &. have this crazy strength to back those ambitions up. there’s respect to be found in strength &. hard work.

so with being super well versed in survival , it wouldn’t shock me if keqing knows how to turn nearly any common object ( sticks , pens , keys , ect ) into a weapon to channel her vision into. she works and trains so much , i doubt her skills end at just using her hairpin or a sword ... i’m certain she’s had plenty of shady deals where threatening someone + defending herself with an electro charged pen was an absolute lifesaver.
