Wanted to draw this extremely cute 1930s postcard I stumbled across earlier
Oh my god, I'm having to take some workplace training thing and it shows you a page of text and then there's a Next button, but if you click the next button before 60 seconds have passed, it tells you:
"To better understand the material, please spend more time on this page"
I am a very fast reader with ADHD! This just means I read the page and then spend the next 48 seconds fucking around in another window.
Amusingly the page I'm currently on is about respecting neurodiversity in the workplace.
Alright I've sewn a corset, a dress for Bollie, and a dress for me. I think I now have to move back to a different hobby because I'm getting a bit overwhelmed.
oh i just saw the news… marjane satrapi died :(
French-Iranian author and illustrator Marjane Satrapi, best known for the book and film “Persopolis”, has died, her family said Thursday. S
Anyone in the Netherlands (for ease of shipping and less anxiety) interested in doing a spinning fiber exchange for tour de fleece?
I'm offering: A few diverse handdyed and natural colour fibers ready to spin (100% wool), for example a total of 150 grams of fiber (could be more!). Maybe making it a bit of a care package with a postcard, a knitting/spinning notion or two and some snacks?
I'm looking for: The same as I'm offering! We will make a list of the exact content of the package together :)
Send me a message if you're interested and located in the Netherlands (and what exactly you would be interested in!)!
My vacuum cleaner broke because one screw got lost
Since this is my year of Complaining, I contacted Rowenta and asked if they could send me a screw or at least tell me what type of screw I need.
They mailed back with "Your vacuum cleaner is no longer under warranty :( but we'll send you the screw anyway for free", which is good but I do think it's funny they led with the no warranty.
The spare part arrived in a box that was a metre long. Because they didn't send me one screw, they sent me an entire new body.
kitten fever is worse than baby fever because a kitten is way easier to obtain than a baby so it's more dangerous
Have you considered fostering?
8 words, 9 book titles. (This is why I can never remember which book I’m on in the final trilogy)
maybe I should just code a dress up game at this point but for now! I made dress up sticker sheets and I am entirely too stoked that they actually worked. Vv
Texting, captions, video calls. Deaf communities used them before the rest of the world caught up. Sign language is next, and this time peop
Various disorganised Ring for Jeeves/Come On, Jeeves thoughts brought to you by...well, nothing, I'm simply always thinking about measly late canon crumbs:
Wodehouse editing out crossdressing ghost Jeeves when novelising the play is honestly...sigh, we could have had it all!
Guy with no employment gap and a passion for lying: “Yeah, I was in the war, for sure.”
Darning looms such as the ‘Speedweve’ were very popular in the fifties, though I'm not sure that would have been of any help to Bertie. Also, did you know the first London hamburger parlour opened in 1954?
Playing YouTube videos on 3x speed is now a premium function!?
Wow, they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for premium features. Fortunately this is not a functionality they can gatekeep on alternative youtube clients, or at least I'm pretty sure it's not.
Yeah but they're throwing up more barriers for alternative clients. I'm now getting "this video can't be played in your mobile browser" until I turn on desktop view. And of course come September it will become harder for tech illiterate people to install alternative clients on their android.
Je telefoon is straks niet meer van jou. In september 2026 zal Google elke Android-app blokkeren waarvan de ontwikkelaar zich niet bij hen h
The other thing about meeting my wife on this website is I've seen multiple friends today reblog a post about how some mutuals you eventually transition to using their given name and some you never do, and the thing is. The woman I am legally married to is in the latter category.
Got a bunch of kriket bars in a sale (the protein in them comes from crickets), and they're all actually rather good EXCEPT for the peanut and salted caramel. I hated that one, surprisingly.
