This scene is not romantic at all, here’s why:

We very obviously know that Mike and El are a couple (we don’t know if they still are in s5 but that’s not the point) the point is, since we know they’re a couple, if makes no sense to cut this scene before the supposed kiss was supposed to happen.

But why do we assume they even kiss in this scene?

Well I mean, context clues baby! When we see a supposed stablished couple, and they are holding hands and one of them has their other hand cupping their partner’s jaw and cheek, we can only assume there’s a kiss coming after that. A passionate loving kiss.

AND I REITERATE, IF THEYRE THE SUPPOSED ESTABLISHED ENDGAME COUPLE, WHY CUT OUT THE PART WERE A POSSIBLE KISS HAPPENS???

You could also argue that as a couple, they don’t have to kiss all the time to be shown that they are being romantic and loving. But I mean, this is clearly an emotional scene, romantic or otherwise. And if it IS romantic it makes complete sense to have a kiss coming after whatever EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL TALK THEY ARE CLEARING HAVING.

Another thing, yes as a couple, Mike and El have always needed to explicitly show their love. Either by being lovey dovey all the time, or doing pda everywhere to show that hey, they’re a couple!!! They love each other!!! They kiss all the time and ditch/ignore their friends to be alone and make out!!! They’re a couple!!!

So no, that scene isn’t romantic, they’re not about to kiss or be like let get married and have 70 children. Case closed :P (this is all my opinion by the way)

Hi ! I’m working on a video, what’s something you think ppl should know b4 getting into the stranger things fandom?

Uhh I think ppl should know about all the ships. Like it or not, ships are a big part of fandom culture, so like even if you don’t like a ship (or even just shipping in general) then like literally ignore that aspect of the fandom. The ST fandom is so huge and there’s a spot for anyone, so like if you like a character or an aspect of the fandom, you’ll find a group on Reddit or tumblr or something just talking abt the thing that you like. Don’t waste your time looking at things you don’t like bruh.

Also, I’d say just be careful about interacting with certain people. Like every fandom, there’s always gonna be toxic ppl. Whether it’s about a ship or fan theories, or whatever, just like be careful about who you engage with. Like if you say you like a certain ship and ppl try to dog on you because of that just ignore it, or block those ppl. And like if you don’t like a certain ship, just don’t engage with it.

Also, be respectful of other ppl’s opinions, even if you think they’re wrong or just being stupid. Like let’s say for example someone doesn’t like Will for whatever reason (even if it is like a bad reason) literally just don’t interact with the person. Like why would you make yourself watch someone diss your fav character?

(Now in this example, if they don’t like Will because he’s gay, then like obviously they’re homophobic, and you don’t have to respect their opinion. But even so in this scenario, I’d say just ignore them. Ppl who say those kinds of opinions usually say them for ragebait, to like get a reaction out of someone. So like just ignore them.)

I mean like ignoring toxicity in general, is my biggest advice.
