Netflix, the content-streaming brand that remade the DVD rental model is poised to be a major disrupter in the entertainment landscape.
Netflix is a streaming service that offers a variety of shows starting with their own original programs to buying the rights to stream other tv shows and movies. Netflix started out being the first DVD rental service that didnât have due dates for the DVDâs and didnât have late fees which more than you can say for Blockbuster. But as times progressed so did Netflix making deals Warner Bros. in order to have updated movies apart of their streaming service since at the time companies were still skeptical about online streaming. Netflix also had multiple payment options so you can pick the plan that best works for you.
Netflix worked with its customers to make the company the best it could be. Everything from personalizing profiles to adding rating so you can find a show that you would like. But I would say Netflixâs interactions with technology is one of the best out there. Netflix had an original series named Sense8. After season 2 Netflix decided to cancel the show but due to fan protest, Netflix made one finale episode so the show could have a series finale and not end on a cliffhanger. Netflix showed that power that the consumer has. Â
