Affection: How do they show their affection for their darling? How often do they show it?
Well, Richard can be affectionate, but he’s usually only like that when he wants something from you—usually when he wants to have sex with you
Blood: How messy are they willing to get for their darling? Why?
Ohhh, it’s obvious that Richard would kill for you. He doesn’t hesitate to kill people, so don’t doubt that Richard will kill people if you ask him to or if he gets jealous.
Cruelty: How would they treat their darling when they kidnap them? Would they mock them?
A lot. Richard would mock you relentlessly. He’ll tell you that the more you beg and cry, the more turned on he gets, and he might even exaggerate your cries.
Delusion: How delusional are they when it comes to their darling? Do they believe their darling loves them?
Honestly, he’s one of the few who isn’t actually delusional. If he notices you’re not interested in him at all, he won’t care—not because he thinks in his mind that you actually love him, but because he simply likes the idea of subjugating you against your will.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they reveal to their sweetheart? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their sweetheart?
It depends on the circumstances. For example, if you met in a normal way, you fell in love with him, and you have no idea who he really is (or, on the other hand, you do know and are helping him as his accomplice—which would make it easier for him to open up to you) he might open up and tell you about his childhood, his father who beat him, how he sometimes preferred to sleep in a cemetery (and if you’re his accomplice, he might tell you about his cousin and everything he went through with him), but if you were a potential victim and he kidnapped you, there’s no way he’d ever open up to you
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
It depends on at what point you fought back. If you were a potential victim of his and fought to survive (and survived), he’d see that struggle as exciting, and it would undoubtedly trigger his obsessive behavior. If you’re already a captive, he might react in two ways: he might mock you if your resistance is weak, or he might get angry and hit you if you put up a strong fight.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
Despite being so mocking, they wouldn’t be happy at all if you tried to escape, so they’d either threaten you or hit you—or both.
Hell: What would be their partner’s worst experience with them?
Honestly, with him—and especially if you’re not in on it—any experience with him could be considered a bad one.
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their partner?
None. To keep you with him until you die or he’s captured.
Jealousy: How easily do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
Very easily. Without a doubt, he’d cheat on you many times (though I’m not sure if that counts as cheating since what you’re essentially doing is raping him), but he’ll know when you’re getting too close to another man—and believe me, you don’t want to know what happens when Richard gets jealous.
Kidnap: How would they go about kidnapping their darling? How much do they plan it out?
This would only happen in two scenarios: if, for example, you had a “normal” relationship and discovered he was the nighttime stalker, or, conversely, if you survived him—he’d kidnap you and hold you captive at the Cecil Hotel.
Love Letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
This only works if you’re a little crazy and don’t care about the crimes he committed. Richard, despite his scruffy, vagabond appearance, is a very charismatic guy, and he’ll use that to woo you.
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they acted before?
If you only knew him as Richard, his true colors would change so drastically that you wouldn’t be able to process it; but if you’d already known him as the Night Stalker, nothing changes.
Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
By threatening you, beating you, or even raping you—or all three at once.
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling? What rights can be earned over time and through trust?
The more rights they take away from you, the better. If you’re kidnapped, they’ll keep you like a pet.
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
Not very. In general, Richard has no patience, so he’ll lose his scruples easily.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
No. As much as it may seem like you’re just a piece of meat he can fuck, he cares about you, and if you die, escape, or whatever, it’ll drive Richard to kill people more frequently and more brutally
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about kidnapping their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
Pfff, “regret” and “Richard” don’t belong in the same sentence—he’ll never feel bad about kidnapping you.
Soulmate: What made them fall in love with their darling? How did they first meet? When did they realize they loved their darling?
I know that in previous points I said you could have met Richard under normal circumstances, but to be honest and on second thought, I highly doubt that in a normal relationship he’d be able to develop his yandere tendencies. For example, if you met him normally, he’d only develop those tendencies if you expressed your admiration for the Night Stalker to him, and once he revealed his identity to you, you’d agree to be his accomplice
On the other hand, he could also develop those tendencies if at some point you were almost a victim and defended yourself well enough to remain almost unharmed. It would help a lot if you managed to hurt Richard; he’d keep thinking about that and start stalking you very frequently.
Type: What kind of yandere would he be?
Aggressive: If you met him as his potential victim, he’ll be very aggressive. If, once you’ve been kidnapped, you resist or act hostile toward him, he’ll respond with even more aggression.
Stalker: Even his nickname says it all—Richard is a total stalker. He’ll watch you from the shadows, monitoring everything you do, and if he can’t do it himself, he always has people close to him who can stalk you on his behalf.
Sadist: Regardless of how you met him or the nature of your relationship, Richard is a sadist to the core. He enjoys seeing you cry, whether from pain or pleasure.
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
The only way I see you escaping him is if he’s so high that he’s even forgotten to tie you up tightly. Since he’s keeping you at the Cecil Hotel, it’s pretty easy to get out and ask for help.
Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
Yes, yes, and yes—I think I’ve made that clear enough already.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what lengths would they go to win their darling over?
Richard is a bit brazen, so he’ll definitely flirt a lot with you to win you over. He’d give you expensive jewelry stolen from his victims and take huge risks for you.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
He wouldn’t have to snap if you’re his accomplice, but things change if you’re a survivor—he’ll wait until the police stop watching you to kidnap you
Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?
Yes, and a thousand times yes
