Rousseau
For me, being back in the classroom evokes a feeling of nostalgia. Like being back in square one: a place where everything is possible. A place I can reinvent and improve myself.
I believe every living person’s duty in life is to reach their utmost potential as a human being; physically, mentally and spiritually. I personally aim to be better than I was yesterday, learn important lessons from my mistakes and pay it forward to open-minded listeners. I cannot help but think what the world would be like if those with the knowledge would openly and compassionately share it with the less fortunate. Instead, younger generations are inheriting a world that is flawed by corporate greed and cultural oppression. Intergenerational mental illnesses are rampant and youths are left to fend for themselves and indulge in self destructive tendencies. I believe blind prisoners can one day see the light of the sun, granted they listen to the melody in their hearts, as the benevolent pied piper leads the way out, blowing songs of hope in his magic pipe.
