Shiro stays Shiro because we need Shiro and Kuron needs to stop being mean, its not okay and I don’t like it.Anyways, Lance feels like he’s not really a part of the team, he tries so hard to pull his weight, but it seems that its just not enough. Why can’t anyone see how hard he’s trying? He doesn’t know that Coran does, and he’s ready to give the universe to his favorite (whether he’d say that aloud or not is debatable) paladin.

taking animal nutrition was so helpful in me fully developing tactics to counter my disordered eating. like having to do calculations for caloric intake to keep/maintain animals of different size at different stages of life, changed the way i looked at macro nutrients as a whole. and is the main reason i refuse to count my calories.

I think I cracked the code on why current fashion is all atheleisure, body con, lingerie outside the bedroom, tight polyester material and how it coincides with the rise of eating disorders/diet culture and heroin chic. the clothes are no longer fashion, the body is the fashion. rather than wearing something as an expression of yourself you wear to show of your body. that's not even me being on some slut shaming shit, but I think about most often when you see the comments on a person ootd unless they're somebody known for a alternative or maximalist style it's always the emphasis of the body. Body tea, body tea, snatched, snatched, ate no crumbs. That whole waistline trend. Just imagine how if fat people started a belly band trend or something similar how people would jump to decry it as fetish material. Yet the obsession with thinness is never seen as perverse, rather something that should be regarded as inspo or hell even promoting a healthy lifestyle.

i feel like the amount of “is it cute or is she just skinny” videos i’ve seen lately back up this take so much. even the “oversized/ baggy” clothes are styled in a way to show the smallness of who’s wearing them.

alright this is going to be long so

i genuinely hate when the clock app gives me acotar content because even the videos i agree with are filled with people just saying “if you hate feyre so much then why did you read the book.”

as if the only reason to not like acotar is because the reader hates feyre.

and as someone who doesn’t like feyre, I DONT HATE HER.

and this reaction to criticism about feyre’s character or assassination of character, is such a cop out. feyre is a hypocrite and a *gasp* and unreliable narrator. and even she acknowledges this with her constant iteration of not thinking deeply/ further about things and contradicting herself in sentences, chapters, and books later. The problem is, reacting to and acknowledging that these are vital aspects of feyre’s character is being seen as hating her.

now personally, i dont hate feyre. i just dont like her, nor do i trust her. and while most people think of that as a sin, its really not. I just dont agree with most of the things feyre does, nor her reasoning for them.

I think feyre is a young, impressionable, traumatized girl who was never really given time to learn what she wants. I also think that she deserves better than Rhysand, and no i dont think that “better” is tamlin. acotar and maf both show that they are not good for each other and barely even had the chemistry to get together in the first place.

but the issue is that she’s not a good character once you actually start looking at who she is as a character. i mean, the girl has only been a ruling party of an entire government and she doesn’t even know more than surface level information about the people she is ruling. she has more concern with her gallery and art therapy classes more than she care about the finances of her court, which she chose to be in charge of. and passing it off as “well we’re just so wealthy” is the worst cop out ever created, especially considering her history with finances. and when you remember that she is THE HIGH LADY, not lady of NC, but the actualy ruling person along side rhysand, shouldn’t she be more involved?

this is only one example of how feyre just falls completely flat as a character and gives us absolutely nothing while being the pinnacle of “girlbossery”

as much as feyre is a self insert character, she also has enough personality that stands alone as a character who does some abysmal shit for either lies. misinformation or petty reasons and condemns others to suffer while she is allowed to sit back and “not think about it”.

and im sorry but not thinking about the fact that your actions directly led to opening the entire land to invasion, is insane. not thinking about the fact that you burned LoA in your anger at her son? wild.

feyre isnt a great character and im allowed to not like her and still read the book, im allowed to think she deserves better.

i made it to the third book and while this series is most definitely not my favorite its already so much better that acotar.

The heirs??? yeah i see where they’re coming from. do the mfc’s just let everything go and justify all of the heirs actions??? fuck no!

is it established that the fae have a much different culture? yeah it sure is. can you still recognize the abuse happening, and how it affects the heirs? absolutely

and its just so much more interesting after the first book.
