When Jurian enters the scene, I get so patriotic in a I’m Every Woman Chaka Khan kinda way except it’s I’m Every Human. Yes he went a little crazy but he RODE for his species.

I noticed that every time someone criticizes Rhys on his behavior fans shrug it off with "Well yes,he's morally grey"

He's not.

Morally grey characters do not get an entire chapter of monolgue where they can explain(badly) their actions. Morally grey characters do not explain and justify their actions at all. Because their morals do not align with the general public.

Tell me one morally grey character in fiction who got an entire chapter dedicated to explain and justify themselves. Even then his explanation is...lacking, it's justified with "he had to protect Velaris and his family" not the Night Court, his citizens but Velaris. Chapter 54 of acomaf is written to make us feel bad for him and see where he was coming from, but once again his explanation is horrible. (Or at least is it if you can look past his moderately sad background). And both the text and the characters tell us that yes his actions were justified and there's nothing wrong with him, he's not bad.

Morally grey characters are not written like that.

Sjm told us via page that Rhys is not a bad person and that every one if his actions are justified instead of letting us decide. And because of that he's not morally grey.

Brief Azris Rant (related to this art):

I think these colors sum up how Azris feels in my head. They're (the colors and the characters) not particularly vivid for their own sake, but together they blend very well. I did try to give Azriel's siphon and Eris's crown a stronger kind of glow (because of their strong connections to their roots). I also wanted the swirls to look a little like shadows and a little like smoke.

TLDR; they're soulmates, your honor

my theory; high lords were waiting for a moment for tamlin to fuck off so they could put tamlin down bc up until then he had been good and far better than any of them

good ruler, kind of his people, opened his courts to others

knew amarantha was a snake and tried to warn them but they didn’t listen - i think him being right and so young above that hurt their ego

he was the one who freed them

they were so quick to believe feyre and ic who have committed war crimes and showed how untrustworthy they can be

feyre used high lords power against them repeatedly like stealing from summer court and at that meeting to hurt them

“they believed tamlin hurt feyre” listen u need to be serious here and tell me u believe these high lords actually have a damn about a women being hurt by a man - if they do, beron is right there living and breathing, so is rhysand, so is his court and plenty of men in their own courts

feyre is a nobody to these ppl, the only thing feyre is someone they brought back and has their power that’s it, they don’t give a fuck about her like that

as much as i’m always for believe the victim, these high lords have no proof feyre wasn’t being manipulated or controlled by rhysand

they saw feyre be sa by rhysand in front of them at utm

they know he introduced her as his whore and pet in hewn city bc news travels

this woman went from dying to save tamlin to destroying his court after spending time in rhysand’s presence and rhysand openly hates tamlin - it’s suspicious

“they were hesitant to believe what night court was saying” tarquin hosted rhysand and co at his court, helion and vivi and kallias greeted night court nicely, thesan trusted them enough to host the meeting at his court, all before the meeting started and everyone brought their court members - if they were worried they wouldn’t have, why risk another amarantha situation?

its believable that rhysand can play double agent after amarantha is long dead but not tamlin while hybern king is still alive and this can get him killed if somehow the king finds out?

spring court has been destroyed yes it can be used as a way to get high lords to trust him but it’s not like he has allies with other high lords seeing how no one ever asks tamlin or tries even as little as to show disapproval for what feyre did - hybern destroyed his court and their soldier are knowing for raping women wherever they go

the fact that tamlin has always fought against hybern but they don’t trust him, not even after he shows them proof bc ??????????

mind u rhysand as always some across as evil and for 50 fucking years killed people , broke minds and helped amarantha destroy courts but he’s truth worthy

but tamlin who all he did was side with hybern king but hasn’t sold anyone out and never killed anyone is not truth worthy

so the only way this high lords meeting and high lords behaviour towards tamlin as a whole makes a little sense to me is if this was their way to looking down on tamlin bc of their own bruised ego
