i wanna do this thang
I've heard tell an extended vacation can do wonders for mind and body alike.
In my case, mental, corporeal, and... culinary.
Fortuitously, I've acquired an impressive array of new recipes, and I doubt by dinner's end any of my old friends will be too terribly upset at me for leaving...

Jodie: Tony kind of scared me! I did a lot of the movie without him there. I didn’t really get the chance to talk to him during the rehearsal process and because the scenes were so long, they would sort of screw him into this chamber and they wouldn’t let him out! Anthony: I remember our first meeting — in New York, for a reading of the whole script. Jodie had just won the Oscar for The Accused and I was kind of impressed at this wonderful young actor. I was a little intimidated, a little quiet, shy…I didn’t realise she felt the same!

fem hannibal
Good to know that Hannibal Lecter will continue to smile through his cannibalism references.
Hannibal’s brow lowered, noting the obvious distain in the younger man’s tone and body language as he fussed about his bedside, adjusting his pillow, clearing dishes and all around ensuring that everything was in order. He was ordinarily not one to be so overdramatic regarding his health, especially over something as minor as a cold and fever, however he had grown accustomed to living in plush comfort, strong in both mind and body, the image of perfection, in Hannibal’s humble opinion, and his temporary weakness had left him quite out of sorts and full of self-pity. "Please.", he gave a nod towards the now empty teacup as his companion filled it,"And, should you feel up for it, perhaps you might whip us up one of your lovely soups? My appetite has returned, somewhat, though I doubt if I could manage any more than that at the moment.", he grimaced as he gave his tender middle a rub beneath the pile of quilts, "You will find the necessary ingredients in the kitchen, of course. I trust that you know your way around quite well by now.", his already low voice was thick with congestion, the syllables becoming nearly incomprehensible through his heavy accent as he held a tissue against his lips, clearing his throat with a rumbling cough before settling back against the cushions with an exhausted sigh.
Hannibal weighed the teapot in his hand and decided it was full enough for the time being, provided the elder man did not pick it up and spill it over himself.
"Soup, now. Alright, I suppose it's better than you trying to make it yourself." Let it never be said that he did not take care of his own.
He got up and left the bedroom to go poke around the kitchen and see what he could find to cook with. Luckily the other Hannibal seemed to have acquired enough from the market where they'd met up to make a decent vegetable broth. He cut up potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery, and set them to cook with herbs at the bottom of a soup pot, emptying broth in later. All said and done, it didn't take long, so far as meals went. Nothing gourmet, but Hannibal wasn't feeling particularly favorable toward his companion at the moment. He could do with a simple vegetable soup.
He brought it back to the bedroom in a large bowl, slipping quietly inside in case the other man had fallen asleep.
“He’s a sort of athletic, courtly, sophisticated European. I wanted to dress him with a feeling of the past and tradition and a rich heritage, but in looks that are also really appealing to the contemporary eye.”
Hannibal’s attire is dominated by three piece suits, elaborate, Deckard-type ties, pocket puffs and textured shirts. Slim-legged pants, “with an almost Edwardian fit,” Hargadon says, paired with piqued-lapelled jackets, round out the character’s custom-made wardrobe. With few exceptions—a few cashmere sweaters, going tieless while working with the FBI in the field, or prepping for dirty kitchen work in an apron—the doctor is the perfect picture of a refined sociopath. In regards to the character’s palette, Hargadon worked with paler color schemes at the season’s start, but implemented darker tones to reflect the increasingly ominous story line.
“I started him very light and approachable looking,” the designer says. “As he unmasks himself over the 13 episodes, he becomes much darker—but always sophisticated.” - Christopher Hargadon. (Hannibal Costume Designer)

Fannibals, I need more Hannibal and Mads Mikkelsen on my dashboard! If you would be so kind as to reblog this so I can come find you, stalk you, then follow you forever, I would be very grateful.
Have a pleasant evening.
