This is awesome.
No fancy headline needed. I love this. I want to shop at this supermarket. A cross between Dos Equis man, Robert Palmer and ... well I don't know what the hell.
We built this Kitty.
Nothing totally original about lip-syncing to 80s classics. But it's just so much darn fun! Three out of the UK have a very Cadbury-esque campaign built around "we all need a little silly". And the this lil video with a young girl and her cat belting out 'We built this city' by Starship. It's pretty catchy.
Blkkk Skkkn Head.
This video is a bit different than my normal posts. Not really filmic nor does it have a narrative theme, but I just can't get it out of my mind. It's mostly the song, it's driven, angry and raw. Love it. The video is pretty freaky, directed by fashion photographer and music video director Nick Knight.
Yes sir. I CAN boogie.
Try and watch this without at least smiling a tiny bit. You will probably even dance a little. Cadbury making everyday moments a little bit fun yet again. It's no gorilla, but a lovely little ad nonetheless. I'm going to watch it again.
One-take Icons.
Nothing overly emotional or mind-blowing, just some really nice filmmaking. A video referencing a whole bunch of different cultural icons, art, TV, film, music all shot in one take. Really nicely done, and not overplayed.
