“Ara ara, that’s the spirit.” He chuckled. Eyes half lidded, Shinra raised a light brow at the name given. “Delirium? Not as a sentient being, I have not met one that goes by that name. What do you want with them, Delir?”

He liked the look in this one’s eyes. It reminded him of Orochi–so bitter, so bent out of shape for something they could not have.

“I shall consider you lucky for not crossing paths with her... However, to explain who Delirium is... She is the insanity herself, the pure entity of the state called delirium, thus her name. What I want with her is for her to be drained of her powers, not death, that is too sweet for her, I want her to live as long as her fate dictates, but without powers.”

The angel's speech was calm, detached, not a sign of the hate that boiled inside of him- Callias's visage remained stoic, neutral.

◤          He wouldn’t dare say it aloud, but it bothered him greatly that the other had just done exactly what he scolded him for doing. He didn’t have it in him to complain; after all, he didn’t like causing arguments or making enemies, “Ah… I’m a witch, actually. But I prefer to be called a magus. I take it you’re not a witch yourself?”⊿

“Me? A witch? I am not as weak as that, mortal. I am an angel.”

The immortal's tone was calm, azure orbs analyzing the other with interest. This one seemed to be shy... Easy to bully, easy to control... Too innocent, it pissed Callias off in more ways than one. However, his visage remained expressionless.

◤          Ah, that question was a very good one indeed. Why had he stopped him? He kind of just did this to anyone he could sense was different like himself. Was that rude, too? Perhaps it was… “U-Uh, well… I, um… This might sound strange, but I have the ability to know when others are different from mankind. It’s kind of a knee-jerk reaction of mine to say hello when I encounter people like me, since I don’t know many that are…”⊿

“Oh? Indeed, I am anything but human, tough I highly doubt you are like me, if you were I would be surprised to not have been able to sense it. So... What are you?”

Right now, maybe, Callias was the definition of a hypocrite, inquiring the other's nature without saying his- but, really, the angel was not exactly someone you could call polite... Unless he was faking it for a job, but that was an entire different matter.

“This should work out then!” Shinra exclaimed cheerfully, putting his hands together in a gleeful manner, “They are angels of a particular god. Tengu, they are. I only need you to take out one in particular, for now. And of course you will be rewarded richly. Name your price, Delir. Speak freely.” He was unconcerned about the price, there were but a few things he couldn’t afford these days.

“Hmmm... Considering you want me to take out a supernatural being, I will have a little spicy price...”

Should he name it? The other seemed like a powerful being and maybe, just maybe, able to give Callias what he always wanted but never named nor sought to accomplish for he deemed it impossible so many centuries ago. Probably, with this one, a spark of hope could exist.

"Ever heard of the entity called Delirium?”

◤          “O-Oh, I’m sorry…!” He apologized quickly, his face flushing from slight embarrassment, “That was rude of me, wasn’t it…? Um– I’m Asher. Asher Knoxwell…!”⊿

“Good. Callias Lieve. Now, what got you so curious that you stopped me?”

He would have continued with the oh so generic ‘pleased to meet you' but after the way they met it was not a pleasure for the angel.

◤          Strange; he could sense an interesting amount of power in this stranger. It was bizzare, but interesting, “…Hello… Who are you?”⊿

“I only stumble upon impolite persons it seems. Present yourself before asking for a name.”

Really now, it was no hard concept. Callias wasn't angered by the fact, he was just a bit annoyed.

“Delir it is.” To call each thing by its right name… Names held such significance for a being’s existence, Shinra wouldn’t give out his true name too carelessly neither.

“I’ll cut to the chase then, since you and I are both busy people–How do you feel about killing gods?” He let the words echo for a second before he would further explain, “Minor gods, anyway. Earthly deities. Guardians. Heavenly soldiers… however you would call them… –Angels. You can think of them as. God’s warriors. That’s the criteria, no?”

“Yes, angels are God's warriors... Anyway... How do I feel about killing them, hm? I don't particulary care what or who I kill as long as it is for a good price.”

This were, maybe, the most unlikely words to escape the mouth of an angel, but Callias was no ordinary one and truth be told he would be a bit more satisfied killing something different than human once in a while. He was not afraid- Death could never claim his soul anyway.

“Hmm? Ahh, I heard that’s what a father asks the admirer of his beloved daughter.” Cracking jokes–look, I’m friendly. “I vow that I’m not here to cause harm… Well, not to you, at least. I do have a job offer if you are at all interested.” 

The feathers of his wings shivered even when there was no wind. The sound of leaves rustling, or a very quiet distant chanting. “–My name… you will know me as Shinra. What do you go by?”

The joke was lost on the angel, Callias being more interested in the job offer. This being did not strike him as one to hire assassins, at least not for money, so the offer had him debating possibilities.

"If you are here for a job you want me to complete, then Delir shall be enough of a name.”

This one gave a creepy aura anyway- an allias shall suffice.
