Have had a hard couple of days between irl stuff including various assessments, and I've been busy working on August Whump that I can't share, so here, have something from a tentatively drafted chapter of Shenanakins, which always cheers me up to write!
“Anakin?”
The tooka began to purr.
Obi-Wan ran a hand over his beard. It was not beyond the realm of possibility, Anakin changing into an animal. Force knew he changed into his cassius form regularly enough, if only now to annoy Obi-Wan with the fur he shed around the apartment.
But a tooka?
He crouched beside it and slowly stretched out a hand towards it.

"Thank you so much, Obi-Wan," Padmé said as Obi-Wan stepped through the door, shrugging off his cloak and gathering it into his arms. "I don't know what we would do without you."
"It's no problem, Padmé," he replied, handing over the brown fabric to Padmé as she reached out for the garment, hanging it neatly up on its designated peg. Anakin had insisted that with the amount of times Obi-Wan came over he might as well have his own peg next to the others, which were all labelled in beautiful hand-written calligraphy: Padmé, Anakin, Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka. Obi-Wan couldn't help but smile. "Truly. It is my pleasure to be here."
Padmé offered a grateful smile before her expression swiftly fell.
"I'm afraid I really must be going now," she said, taking her own coat off of her peg and throwing it around her shoulders. "Anakin is in the nursery with the twins. I'm sure he'll be through in just a few minutes."
Obi-Wan gave her a short nod in reply, watching as Padmé shuffled towards the door, grabbing her things before she paused in the doorway on her way out.
"And, Obi-Wan," she said, giving him a wry smile, "do make sure Anakin gets some sleep. He's been a little cranky lately, and I know he's tired. Give him a sleep suggestion if you have to."
"Don't worry, Padmé," he said. "I'll make sure that he gets some rest."
"Thank you. Call me if you need anything."
"Will do."
Obi-Wan gave Padmé another smile before she stepped out, closing the door behind her. As Obi-Wan walked into the living space down the hall, for a moment, he gazed upon the room before him. Gentle rays of sunlight shone through the half-closed curtains, casting a warm glow throughout the space. There were a few toy starfighters littered across the floor, as well as a bantha plushie and a few other stuffed creatures. He smiled to himself at the sight.
Padding across the room, he took a seat on the couch, which was lined with a soft violet quilted fabric, releasing a breath as he took in this brief moment of calm before the inevitable storm that came along with anyone adorning the name Skywalker.
