Della’s problem When your boobs smaller than your male fly partner’s….
I've been seeing a lot of DelPad content lately. And I'm cracked !!
One of my favorite Ducktales Ships! DelPad
it‘s 11pm and I wanted to work but I had the biggest craving to draw some Delpad for ages so here‘s a dood.
Launchpad Terra and Della Aqua
Redid the triplets via switching Ven and Roxas from Huey and Dewey
PLEASE DO NOT REPOST, EDIT, OR USE ANY OF THESE PICTURES WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. ARTISTS WORK HARD ON THEIR DRAWINGS. WE DO NOT LIKE IT WHEN OUR WORK GETS STOLEN LIKE THIS. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK FIRST. THAT’S LITERALLY IT.
Launchpad: Everybody relax, we're about to crash.
(He says in a low deep voice)
*Internal Lusty Duck noises*
Tokyo Disneyland - Donald's Boat + Huey, Dewey, Louie Cafe (needless to say, there's plenty of Disney Duck stuff at the park(s), my poor camera roll)
Tokyo Disneyland main street windows + bonus Disney Duck stuff (final[?] photodump from Disneyland trip, worth every goddamn reasonable dollar)
Writing my Delpad spec script and re-watching the show is helping me make sense of so many specific scenes in S3 that I felt did not work. Now that I'm putting the puzzle pieces together, I'm like "Oh!!! That's why this scene was so weirdly off-putting! That's why this episode's 'moral' made no sense! Because they were being forced on the wrong characters!"
It makes me sound like an insane person. But I swear - once the pieces fall into place, everything clicks. My script actually works!
I was listening to the Hey, That's Me! podcast with storyboard artist with Kristen Gish who spoke about the "Foreverglades" episode in Season 3 and she said each episode is based off of a movie ("Romancing the Stone," in this case, for those curious).
This makes a lot of sense, obviously, but this only highlights to me where "The Golden Armory of Cornelius Coot!" went wrong - it's very likely two episodes that have been stitched together.
The first episode is a Webby-centric episode, using references from "The Goonies". This episode likely retains its basic structure and isn't too different from the one we saw. My guess is that Quackfaster who works at the historical grounds is likely supposed to be Grandma Duck - which, in the art book, Frank said he wanted to include but "didn't have time for." It's possible he wanted to use her in S3 but what better episode to use Grandma than the one that involves her grandfather, Cornelius Coot? Della would be present as Grandma is her grandmother on the Duck side of the family - which doesn't get a lot of focus in this show, but it would have been interesting to see.
Which brings me to the second episode...A "Top Gun" based episode, focusing on Della & LP. There's sporadic references in "Cornelius Coot" to Top Gun - it's rather random and mostly done because aeroplanes. But if there was, say, a whole episode based on Top Gun, which not only had Della & LP bonding, but also gave us important backstory as to how LP got a job with Scrooge in the first place? That would be interesting, no?
But if you remove that entire story and shove what little is left into the B-plot of an unrelated episode...well. It becomes extremely hard to write. The go-to answer is "Well, they must have been rushed," but I don't know. Maybe it was rushed, maybe it was budget, maybe it was some secret third thing. But I definitely think something was a bit off in the way that Della & LP's relationship was written.
Toyko Disneyland Camp Woodchuck (part 1)
Tokyo Disneyland Camp Woodchuck (Part 2) I think I liked this more than the Scrooge McDuck department store. IT WAS SO CUTE
It reassures the passenger when you look into their eyes while you crash
McDucks! All my shot's of McDucks Department Store in Toyko Disneysea, the details were so SO great. (FINALLY GOT TO A DISNEYLAND IN MY LIFE) (Also, was all Duffy Merch, fun fact there was Zero (0) Scrooge Merch at either Disneyland or Disneysea
'Villa Donaldo' - The CUTEST goddamn store at Tokyo Disneysea featuring all the Disney Duck Deepcuts AND Cherub HDL Featuring that pic I saw posted of the McDucks in the big family photo, hopefully clearer resolution.
(Will post more later of the Woodchuck Trail + Lodge from Disneyland)
one of the triplets should like black liquorice me thinks preferably Dewey just because he’s so similar to Della
If I recall correctly, Dewey does like black licorice. This was a detail that never made into the show - I think it may have been in a "30 Things about Dewey" DuckTales promo.
Donald also likes black licorice (again, only known via the DuckTales art book). Seems like Della is the odd one out.
ok just checked and no black liquorice is not one of his 30 things that would have been so cool though
Okay, so it was just the art book that revealed this. Sorry!

Posted this in the Delpad Hell Discord server last night! Della is Selene and Launchpad is Endymion. I have tons of ideas for this AU.
