The Loading Screen’s Top 5 Star Wars Games:
1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: This game was every Stars Wars Fan’s dream! An RPG that put you in the shoes of a potential Jedi/Sith. With dialogue choices that mattered (Light Side/ Dark Side choices) and a story that rivals theatrical releases, this game had it all! A must play and an all-time favorite for TLS.
2. Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy: Powered by the same engine that rocked Quake 3, Jedi Academy was a third-person adventure game developed by Raven Software. The player controls a student at the Jedi Academy that must complete missions from his master and Luke Skywalker! The game boasts some of, if not the best, light saber controls and force powers in any SW game. The game also had a widely popular Multiplayer mode that pitted Jedi vs. Jedi!
3. Star Wars Battlefront (2004): The original Battlefront holds nostalgia with fans. This game was the quintessential shooter for Star Wars fans. With couch co-op, large battles, and favorite “Hero” characters, the game had it all. A story mode of sorts filled out the package and this game will go down in history as one of the best. EA has recently revived the game and visually it looks great! However, nothing stand to the original.
4. Star Wars: Republic Commando: This first-person shooter, complete with HUD and Squad commands, came out in the mid-2000s. The game takes place during the Clone Wars and allows the player to control a member of a Republic Commando Squadron. The game requires the full use of their AI teammates and can be quite difficult at times. Despite the difficulty, it is welcomed and make the game very fun!
5. Lego Star Wars:The Complete Saga: The Lego franchise has covered some pretty huge characters and stories. None bigger, though, than the Star Wars Saga. Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga covers just that, the whole Saga. With appearances by fan favorites like Yoda, Darth Maul, Vader, and others, the game delivers on its expected Lego humor and fun gameplay!
