I have aphantasia, levels vary between people but for me I can't think of pictures/video at all unless I focus really hard. Lasts only a few seconds. It looks like this;

#not being able to picture things has made making art very difficult #like i Can but it takes an overwhelming amount of effort for like. a still image. and if you want some sort of Scene? lmao #its like when ppl are like dont you daydream about your stories all day and im like. no actually.#like im probably thinking about it but actually playing out scenes in my head is asking for way more effort than smth i can do passively #vs very easily being able to Write it out like to know what the Sentence would look like and how something woukd be described #but what it Actually looks like? struggle.#this is also why if i dont have a good grasp on Setting it can be very difficult to get anything done #anyway am i mentally handicapped
