彼の信仰と、人間として彼に残っているすべて。
His faith and everything that remains of him as a human being.
A year has passed. The more I watch Terence and Dion scene at Randellah, the less I think it's a break up (which I never thought it was). Maybe because now we have Ultimania and inner voices and they pretty much align with their active time lores.
In Terence atl, it describes Dion's action as 'releasing Terence from his service' in EN and 'at Dion's behest, Terence leaves battlefield to find Kihel' in JP. This is similar to their info in Ultimania.
The last dialogue of Dion in game is 'It's done, father.' The last dialogue of Terence, which is his inner voice when he saves Kihel, is 'It's done'. It depicts that they both are finally be free from their duties. If only Dion could crawl out of Origin.... (ironically, Terence and Kihel are the ones closest to Origin, not Hideaway people).
The 'it's done' of Terence's thought is written as 'I finally have a good news for Dion' in JP which really shows that he's eager and hopeful to see Dion again. It doesn't sound like a thought of a man who's got his heart broken. He's clearly waiting for Dion.
They never say farewell in JP. But then again, farewell never means a permanent good bye or breakup.
If active time lore is supposed to be factual, then what Dion does to Terence is just giving him a main quest because Dion decides he has to atone alone. He's going to jump off a cliff, and Terence is not allowed to follow. Very straightforward.
Both versions clearly states that Dion sees the atonement to be his duty that he must do it alone so he gives Terence a new mission. Nothing rings to me that it's a break up only that EN gives more of the sense that they may not meet each other soon, while JP is more hopeful because they never say farewell and Terence expresses more clearly in JP that he wants to see Dion again.
lmao, Terence is like a MC who finishes his own MSQ and is waiting for the quest giver to come back so that he can complete the msq.
Damn Dion you need to go back to Terence or else Terry would never complete his quest.
