This is a continuation of my previous post where I'm gathering some of the important moments for Tetia through the whole story.
Of course, spoilers ahead and beware, this post will be long and image heavy.
(Cap 46, Cap 47).
Tetia's contraption, the portable tent staff. It's notable that as she shows it to the girls and Qifrey, Richeh mentions how useful the contraption could be for travelers, drawing a connection with Tetia's goal of traveling the world.
In the Cap 47 panel, we see some cheeky foreshadowing of what's to come, as well as reminding us that Tetia very much likes stories of ancient kingdoms.

The beginning of the end. Tetia meets Eoleo. Much has been theorized about this chapter and the chapter cover on it's own. I'm trying to be very economic about the pages and panels I share because this is a Tetia mini arc and it's full of important moments.

Tetia starts slightly confused but quickly warms up to Eoleo. He also, maybe unknowingly, shares Tetia's idea of clothing as a tool for transformation, however, they don't quite mean the same thing. Still, Tetia's kindness, friendliness and willingness to see people as people, drive her to befriend Eoleo, without a second thought.

But sadly, the world isn't as kind as Tetia, and Eoleo has ulterior motives to approach her (even if he genuinely appreciates her friendship at the same time). This dichotomy plants a seed of doubt and unrest in Tetia's worldview.
(Cap 67).
Another important chapter for Tetia, and this interaction in particular with this nurse lady, is notable in the social commentary Shirahama is exploring in the story as a whole, but also in Tetia's arc in particular.

What she'd experienced in the past plus the crisis situation they're going through is pushing Tetia to the limit. She's questioning the rules more than ever. The second panel is particularly shocking, showing her seemingly almost going into an anxiety attack as she questions the balance of their world. In the third picture, the Knights once again don't hesitate to intimidate and threaten a child, while Tetia's drive to help people and her fear battle inside her.

Riliphin, Eoleo, Tetia and Zayamaya being the key figures in the evacuations plans. Tetia provided shelter through her tent staffs. It's notable to consider this group of characters together since they seem they'll be central for the upcoming arc.
(Cap 94, Cap 95)
Eoleo's brushbuddy sneaked into the girls lugagge and it's now at the Atelier. Richeh cleverly points out that it's odd that an ink-loving brushbuddy would stay in the Ezrest Castle since it should be void of magic. Tetia tries to contact Eoleo to give his brushbuddy back. At the same time, Riliphin is currently at the Ezrest Castle.

Finally, we've been getting some teasers from Shirahama that would indicate that the awaited backstory of Tetia is finally coming, or that at least there's gonna be a mini arc focused on her (and maybe Olly too). So, now, it's just a matter to put all these pieces together and finally thread Tetia's story as a whole.

Now, fully going into my personal interpretations, I think you can already see a clear development in Tetia's character. We just need the pay off, the other shoe to drop.
And to throw my crackhead theory into the ether, I think maybe Tetia's story is not so much about her backstory but about her future. Similar in a way, to Coco's journey. Yes, Coco's discovery of magic, her first meeting with Iguin and her life as a seamstress by her mom's side are vital to her character, but her story, her adventure, started as soon as she started to draw.
I think maybe with Tetia, when we learn her backstory, we'll have a solid base to understand better the drastic changes she'll kickstart in the present and future of the story. Yes, Revolutionary Girl Tetia is so real to me lol.
In any case, I'm very excited for what we have in store. Through this exercise I came to learn and see Tetia's arc much more in-depth that I did ever before, and now I like her even more!! So, let's wait for Chap 96 and see where our thankful and complex ray of sunshine brings us next! 🩷
The portrayal of Cardan as a himbo continue to amuse and baffle me. Jude likes him because he's smart. Jude wouldn't have any patience for the bbgurl version of Cardan I see sometimes. Beyond that, Cardan is good at reading people. Much better than Jude is. It's a survival mechanism, and it's something I think is underrated about him. Jude spent basically all of TWK thinking that Cardan hated her, and operating under that assumption for the most part. Meanwhile, Cardan was perceptive enough to know that Jude liked him, even when she was actively trying to squash those feelings. Cardan only plays the fool, but he's no one's dummy.
