Just finished reading Eyeshield 21 and I think my main takeaway is that all anime/mangas should have a Hiruma. Just a fucked up evil elf man of chaos who forces the plot forwards via blackmail and unstoppable ambition. He does all the thinking so everyone else can be impossibly stupid and good at football. He's a JoJo character and they're all his stands. Cannot be stopped by law or logic. He has 170 cellphones.

Okay, so one of my Discord server friends mentioned that child Hiruma has a Tamagotchi in one of the official artworks, and I suddenly remembered this one fucking shit post I saw a while back from I-don't-even-fucking-know-where about how everyone the OP knew who had a Tamagotchi was a really caring person, and they wondered if that was a signal of that or smthn, and I just laughed so hard.

Cuz, I mean... they'd be right here!

Hiruma -despite being an absolute devil- is fucking caring! He cares about Kurita, Musashi, the whole damn team. He may not be the typical picture of caring, but he still is. He tries to prove to his teammates that they're better than they think, worth more than they think! He may not do it in the usual way, but he comforts them when they need it.

Hiruma may be a fucking menace, but he's the type of person who'd go to war for his friends! He fucking cares and I love that.

...Yes, this was mostly an excuse for me to rant about this fucking gremlin of a man.
