GuildRonpa REACTION TO MOTIVE / OPEN : "If you're going to kill someone, just don't kill the fish."

Let's see...exploring the forst floor of the guild, you cam across many rooms, such as a shooting range, and the dorms. However, the door leading to the aquarium caught your eye for a moment, and you decided to walk in.

Indeed, there stood a large tank, filled with all sorts of underwater creatures in many colours and sizes. If the situation were different, this would be a wonderful place to relax. However, it seems like someone else had beat you here, as that blue haired kid turned to face you, looking away from the fish for a moment.

"If you're here about anything missing from the shooting range, yes, it was me. We should at least find out how serious Monkawaii is, but I do believe he means it, but whatever. You're all indecisive, anyway. Now, what do you want? The beings here are much better company, so of you're going to kill someone, just don't kill the fish."

With that, the boy turned back to the tank, watching the fish swim back and forth, and...was he laughing? Taking a few steps closer, you could hear him muttering under his breath, as he usually did.

"...I hope someone does kill soon. I don't care about everyone else, but tell everyone that you all need to survive, okay, Marisa?"

Keiichi seemed to be talking to a fish that had swum up close to the tank wall, and he quickly tapped it lightly, to which the fish swam away.

We know it’s not much, but all the artists are currently unable to do the maps! But here are the rooms available in the first floor!

Stood silently for some time after the strange bear-man had finished speaking about the motive. Being trapped in a murder game wasn’t really fun when you aren’t the one causing mass chaos in the outside world, but no matter. He would find a way to entertain himself, in time.

"WELL AREN’T WE IN A STICKY WICKET?"

He was speaking to no one in particular, of course. He just liked to make his internal monologue heard.

"No, Skull, we're in a guild with no source to natural oxygen, that will soon be cut off and have us all suffocate or die by other similar means unless our numbers decrease. Either way, the chances are at 98.45628259% that someone will die. In other words, something very boring."

Keiichi sighed. Honestly, this whole thing was r I d I c U l O u S. Someone would obviously die, that's how humans are, as he pushed his glasses back up, and flashed his eyes towards the "Evil Fiend".

Kuroda’s eyes got wide. With how his body worked, he was likely to be one of the first few to drop dead. He could hardly go on a normal stroll before panting and having to sit down. He had none of his medication or equipment here either in case that so happened. He placed a gentle hand on his throat, worried.

He glanced around. He didn’t want to die, not at all, but he didn’t want everyone else to die either. He swallowed. Would it be easier to just offer himself up to be killed to whoever had the strongest heart? No, he didn’t want to give up just yet. He had fought back against a lot so far, and he wasn’t going to stop because of some psycho.

 ”Is that the best he has?” he said with a small laugh.

"...Are you going to be annoyingly optimistic or drop down and die pitifully? Make up your mind, Kuroda." The other was obviously not alright, and grabbing Kuroda by his shoulders, Keiichi rather brutally shook the other, before releasing him. "Nope, I doubt it is. This game will likely go on for ages. Humans are weak creatures, who are fueled to do things they themselves consider "wrong" by their desires. In other words, complete and utter hypocrites." Looking down on the other, Keiichi just stared at Kuroda. People like him couldn't keep up the facade, could they?

"Don't die so soon. I wanna at least have you join my party once. Then you can die. At least try to be useful while dying, though, okay? No, don't say anything. You have no input. Either you be useful, or I revive you and kill you myself. You have that annoying optimism, so use it, dammit."

Yoru stood where she was. Not moving an inch.

"I mean…Why do we have to? You can’t really do that to us…T-That’s impossible…" She whimpered and looked to the others. I wonder…who will be here tomorrow?

"We don't have to, or do we? Do you want to live or die? Even if you kill, there's no way it ends there. It'll probably go on for ages, and who knows? You might die for killing someone." Sneering, Keiichi adressed Yoru. "Who'll be here tomorrow? Who says here? Anywhere in the first floor could a body be discovered."

"...Exactly how much will the oxygen decrease each day?"

That person… They’d died. Right in front of everyone. Granted, it was a stupid thing to do, and Novae would probably never find herself in the position, but yet, it hit her hard. She couldn’t believe it.

"This must be a joke, right..?" Novae put a hand up to her chest, feeling weak. "Was this not supposed to be an application into a mere guild..? Tell me," She grabbed onto the nearest person’s shoulder, looking into their eyes, "Is this for real?"

Cold, emotionless eyes stated back at Novae's, before Keiichi brutally pushed her away. This was ridiculous, honestly. "Mere Guild? This is the Hope's Peak Guild, and we've found ourselves in the midst of a death game, idiot. Yes, this is for real. But if you want to be a guinea pig for the rest of us and do something stupid, go ahead."

Analysing the other in silence, Keiichi sighed, and dropped his shoulders. Honestly, some people were so useless. Someone had died, big whoop.

He paused as he heard the words. He was expecting more yelling and complaints. Maybe even another slap. But no, it didn’t sound like that at all. He let out a small laugh, which slowly began to get louder. 

"Right, right, I will! Thank you!" he replied and put on a smile. There were still signs of his distress from Aaron’s death, but he wasn’t allowing himself to weigh too heavily on it. "Heh, you’re not as much of a pessimist, are you mister rain cloud?"

Coldly and sickly smirking at the other's laugh, Keiichi could see that he had managed to achieve something, at least. But why was he always smiling? What was the point?

"...Shut up. Stop calling me rain cloud. It's annoying when you're down. Just shut up, Kuroda. We'll all end up dying at some point, and either of us dying is very, very, likely, so don't keep your hopes up. Anyway, I stole Aaron's bag from his body, and I'm gonna examine it later. Stop smiling before I punch you."

he turned his head a bit to the side and said.

"Anyways, there’s always a possibility.. you know that bunny just might go cray-cray on us and kill us all.. and yet i doubt the amount of bunny’s will grow anytime soon."

the survivalist said when he turned back to the other student.

"And the bunny’s spontaneously amount grow and we would suffocate would be a hilarious yet horrible death.." 

he said in a mildly sarcastic tone.

"…I grew up in a wealthy family too, I guess, ‘cept there was just a rich-ass lady we hardly ever saw, maids and butlers, one butler in particular, an adopted older brother, and an adopted me. Are, there were rules, but what kind of life is one where you blindly follow everything you’re told? You’re just a lifeless puppet without the ability to think. I’d rather die."

"And if the rabbits grow in number then we’ll just have to break out of here. No point in going down without a fight and just accepting it. Plus, I doubt Monomi will go crazy. If anything, someone might break in and take over, and make us play some sorta death game or such."

"So? They aren't here right now, so take a break. There's no point to blindly living under rules, but don't freely give yourself into freedom, either. Anyway, you don't really know how old she is. Merihim jumped in surprise through the kids sudden reaction, and his own little fighting stance. Merihim had finally realized that the two weren’t going to fight, and he started to slightly chuckle. 

"Sid? Well… Ok! You are pretty secretive! However, I’m not as secretive as you! However, you need to get that hair checked! Blue is a horrible color! Green is best! Preferably a dark shade a green! I like the red though in your jacket! One of my others loves the color red!"

Then, “Sid” clenched his fists, and both eyes seemed to gleam. Looking down, a dark shadow spread across his face, and it was as if his eyes then turned to stars, as he leered towards the other.

"Yes. Call me Sid. However, my hair is fine. It is naturally blue, and I have no intention of dying it whatsoever. You insult my favourite colour, and you insult me. Please, do be more careful next time. After all, I suppose I will reveal my talent. Ultimate Hyper Demonology Guild Member, though I do some summoning on the side. Nuhu. Huhuhuhuhu…keep this up, and maybe we can find out what Belphegor thinks of your flesh~! …Alright. My magic is sealed, yes, but still. Don’t insult blue. Green ain’t that great either, but if my left eye were blue, then I woulda died my hair green. But that ain’t the case, so deal with it.”

Merihim noticed Sid’s fist clenctching into fist, which made one of the others stir inside of his body, but Merihim managed to subdue him. He  seemed completely unaffected towards Sid’s new demeanour and continued smiling at him, with unbreaking joy. 

"Naturally blue? Huh… Caduceus might like you then, his favorite color is blue! He is a humongous dick though, so maybe you two can relate!" Merihim laughed, and slapped his back again, with unusual speed. "Demonology!? REALLY! Well I like you already! I’m Ultimate Hyper Chaotic Cultist! Belphegor sounds familiar though, I’m pretty sure Eros had once meet him, they got into a huge orgy with each other… However, that might be another Belphegor, so I don’t know." 

Merihim seemed to be telling the truth, the way he said it seemed unsettling as he wasn’t joking one bit. Merihim’s face was still a bright smile, and it didn’t seem to be breaking anytime soon, even with someone eating his own flesh, he might actually enjoy it.

Relaxing his fists, Sid simply sighed, and looked to the side, pushing his spectacles back up his face. With eyes blazing, he prepared himself to walk away and find someone else to analyze, before talking to the other one final time before the event that would lead to Aaron Bent's demise.

"..."Humungous Dick"? In that case, stay away from me. If I'm assholish enough, you won't want to be around me, correct? Well, that works then....!" Another slap on the back. Rubbing it with one had for a few seconds, Keiichi continued speaking. "...Belphegor is one of the seven Princes of Hell, and a devil representing the sin Sloth. He gives people ideas for inventions that will make them rich, and thus greedy and selfish. I doubt that a figure such as that would participate in a display of decadence with the Roman Goddess of Love and Desire, and the counterpart to Greek Mythology's Cupid, so I think you do, in fact, have both names wrong, or are other people. Anyway, I need to see other people. Ciao."

With that, Keiichi turned his heels, dug his hands into his pockets, and ran away.

The day had gone from good to worse. They couldn’t leave and they were forced to kill. To be honest, he had dozed off after a certain point. It was a good mechanism to keep calm and relaxed, not to mention, everything was overly whelming for him. 

"I can’t really stay here if there’s no doctor or anyone. I didn’t even bring anything for these type of situations," he said to himself mostly. "I don’t care too much about staying here."

"I’m not going to give up so easily though. Something as stupid as some stranger shouting nonsense isn’t going to make me give up on living. There’s still a chance."

"Kuroda, I can hear you, and also your resolve is weak. If you want to live, if you want to continue living, then struggle with all your damned might. Aaron is dead, if you noticed. Not that big of a deal. If anything, he was just an example to show that this "murder game" is legitimate."

Approaching Kuroda as he talked to himself, Keiichi sigh. This guy really was useless, wasn't he? Oh well, let's see what would happen if he talked to this damn bastard.

"It ain't a case of not giving up, Kuroda. That's enough to get someone to kill you. It's a case of pushing forward as hard as you can, and guiding your fate to a revolution."

REACTION / OPEN | GUILDRONPA | THE FIRST DEATH: AARON BENT

Silence. As people left the room, Keiichi stayed behind, looking at the corpse. Having had given everyone his name and takent earlier, he stood in the center of the room, and pondered. Sure, they had all hardly knew Aaron, yet everyone made such a hasturdamned huge fuss over it. It was just a corpse. Human lives were so easy to end, and worth very little, so why the hell did it matter? Killing each other?

"So in order to escape, we have to kill one another...Ufufufufu...Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! How positively grand! We've managed to come full circle now! There's no GOOD or EVIL here, simply SURVIVAL/b>. In order to gain life, you must take life. That's the law of nature, but most of you seem to have forgotten it. We kill and consume other beings to live, both physically and metaphorically. After all, both the meat and the vegetables on your plate all had a life at some point, no matter how useless, and in order for you to continue living, you killed and ate them, so what's the huge deal? You're all simply realizing how ignorant you might have been."

Talking to no one in particular, Keiichi walked back to the side of the corpse, and began to examine it, starting with the wound itself. After all, the dead were dead. A corpse had no meaning, and would eventually be stripped and rot away. Most ghosts cared not for their fallen bodies, anyway. Finding nothing of interest there, he patted down Aaron's body next, but yet again found nothing of interest to him, and finally, he settled on the bag, and gingerly removed it from the body.

"Alright, if any of you need me, I'll be going to my dorm. I need to find out if he had any final wishes, and attempt to fulfill or at least discover them."

With that, Keiichi began to make his own exit out the room, holding the bag in his arms, now more alert than ever, Keiichi went in search for his new place of residence in this...this...corrupted guild, he supposed. Didn't really care either way, but he had to find out any secrets Aaron may have had before ne died.
