My original and edited zero waste + vegan recipes:
My deodorant formula:
This smells really nice and doesn't stain clothes or leave an oily residue. when tested against other popular store bought natural/vegan deodorants it worked longer, plus it helps keep your underarms dry.
Ingredients:
¼ cup lavender ( fragrance and soothes) ¼ cup cornstarch (moisture adsorbing/ reduces oiliness) ¼ cup baking soda (absorbs bad odors) 2-3 tbsp solid coconut oil (antibacterial, moisturizing, binder) 5-8 drops eucalyptus oil ( fragrance and soothes)
To make: Put lavender, cornstarch and baking soda in a blender or coffee grinder blend or pulse until lavender is as broken down as possible, then sift in to a container or bowl. Melt your oil in a microwave for about 10-20 seconds or in a pot on low heat until melted, fully incorporate with your dry ingredients and add eucalyptus, mix thoroughly then scoop into a jar or air tight container. (Feel free to double or adjust).
To use: Scoop up a small amount and slowly rub into your armpit letting it melt then fully rub in, if you have armpit hair I recommend combing out any solids (up to you).
My sweet mint toothpaste:
Sweet, minty, whitening and antibacterial plus no chemicals! This is a cheap, eco friendly and cruelty free alternative to traditional toothpaste.
Ingredients:
8 tbsp solid coconut oil ( anti bacterial, binds) 3-5 tbsp baking soda ( cleans debris/plaque, whitens, absorbs bad odors) 1-2 tsp stevia (sweetens) 1-3 tsp natural peppermint extract (flavor, fresh tingle and smell, soothes gums)
To make: Mix all ingredients in a bowl (adjust baking soda, mint and sweetener as desired), when fully incorporated transfer into a jar or air tight container.
To use: Scoop a small quantity and brush teeth as usual.
My face wash/skin care formula:
Cleanses, softens and smells amazing !! This is perfect for dry or oily skin, uneven or acne prone skin and people with eczema or sensitive skin. oatmeal is great for soothing most skin conditions and gently exfoliates. It’s great for cleansing without stripping your natural oils helping in balancing your skin, you can use this 1-3 times a day every day a week if you choose, or use this to replace your current face wash/scrub/mask routine.
Ingredients:
½ cup dry oatmeal (exfoliates, binds, cleanse, moisturize, soothe) 1 tbs dry chamomile (soothes, exfoliates, fragrance) 2 tsp dry lavender (soothes, exfoliates, fragrance)
To make: Blend all ingredients in a blender or coffee grinder until a fine or mildly chunky powder. Sift to remove stems and other large fibers. Put into a jar or an air tight container.
To use:
Face and body: Scoop or pour a small quantity (about 1-2 tbsp) into your palm or in a small dish, add a little bit of water (about 1 tbsp at a time) until desired fluidity (paste-liquid) gently rub on face and/or body in small circles (let sit on skin if you like). rinse off, pat dry.
Bath: In a warm-hot bath mix in 2-10 tbsps of face/skincare powder, relax and enjoy.

Good evening to forrest fires, trans men who love american gothic, to 8 year old girls in grocery stores who know how I'll die and to vampires in lighthouses who prefer the salt in oceans to salt in blood, astorids, half ghosts who write songs in their bedrooms, glass in parking lots and to suburban guardian angels who can't protect me anymore.

For the guys, butch women and non binary people all there. I’m a woman, but I’m reblogging this for anyone who finds this useful. ❤️
This is crazy useful to have in one place. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve looked up pants/shoes acceptable color combos.
How The FUCK Do You Mistake Your Glock For A Taser: A Crash Course In Gun Anatomy
Ok listen up ladies and motherfuckers ‘cause I’m about to learn you on why anyone who says that they mistook a Glock for a taser is a fucking idiot. I’d like to dedicate this to the stupid fucking Republicans who, although they love talking about guns apparently don’t know a damn thing about how they work.
Warning: This post contains screenshots from the bodycam footage of the murder of Daunte Wright. The only objects shown in these screenshots are a gun and a taser; I have cropped Mr. Wright out of the image and there is no graphic content.
How the FUCK do you mistake a Glock for a Taser, Lesson 1: Basic Fucking Eyesight
[IMAGE 1: Left photo from this NYT article shows the Glock 17 model and the Taser X26P beside each other. The Glock 17 has a longer grip, is darker colored, and is more rectangular. The X26P is bright yellow and has a curved grip and trigger space. Right photo from the bodycam footage video linked beneath the cut, timestamp 1:24, shows a fellow cop with a yellow taser similar to the X26P.]
Look at the pretty colors. Now listen to me very carefully, Blue Lives Matter: yellow is the color of the sun and also this taser. The Glock is the fucking black one.
Lesson 2: Basic fucking touch
Now, let’s say you can’t see. Well, even if it’s not color coded and you’re either blind or stuck in a cave and can’t see your hand from your face, that shouldn’t matter.
Humans are incredible in the animal kingdom because we have an extraordinarily developed sense of touch. Some researchers have proven that humans can feel the difference between a level of molecules.
Which is why it is so incredibly fucking stupid that Potter allegedly didn’t realize that she was holding a gun.
Look at the basic differences in the shapes, the grips, the trigger. I’m pretty sure the outside is made out of plastic or some other lightweight, matte substance. Grabbing a Glock instead of a pistol should be like reaching in your backpack for a pencil and grabbing a banana. And that’s ot even factoring in the weight.
Lesson 3: Guns are fucking heavy
If you’ve never shot a gun, then you might not realize how heavy they are. Hell, I can shoot a lightweight pistol and my arms will still be sore. This is partially because I’m a twink, but mostly because when you hold a chunk of metal for an extended period of time your arms get tired.
Although the NYT article I stole that picture from states that although the exact model Potter is holding is unknown, standard issue for the department are the Glock 17, 22, and 26 Models.
([MAGE 2: The Glock 17, 19, and 26 Models side by side (source) with a screenshot of Potter’s weapon from the body came footage (timestamps 1:30 and 1:31 in the video linked below). The Glock 17 is larger than the 19, which is larger than the 26. The body cam footage shows a gun that resembles either the 17 or the 19. Potter is holding her gun in a loose grip. A caption says Do not hold your fucking gun like this. You are not tomb raider”.]
Now, unless Potter has a rare condition where her hands did not grow past the age of 6, there’s no way that the grip of that gun belongs to a Glock 26 (yes, there could be another grip on it, but I digress). To me, it looks like a Glock 17 because of the length of the grip, but I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not an expert on Glock models.
So let’s say it is the lighter of the two, the 19. The Glock 19 weighs 670g unloaded and 855g loaded. The X26P Taser used by law enforcement weighs 213g unloaded and 338g loaded.
Don’t know the difference between those two weights? Okay, well first pick up this cute little copy of “If You Give A Mouse a Cookie” (weight ~345 g.)
[IMAGE 3: Picture of “If You Give A Mouse a Cookie”, a popular and very short children’s book]
Now, pick up the 752-page monstrosity that is the entirety of The Divine Comedy (weight ~794)
[IMAGE 4: Picture of a large copy of “The Divine Comedy”)
The weight difference between those is still smaller than the difference between a Glock and a Taser.
Or go pick up 3.4 apples and 8.5 apples. The list goes on. The point is that it takes an extraordinary lack of care and critical thinking to not realize the difference.
And Potter is holding the gun with one fucking hand.
Lesson 4: The Safety
This is maybe the most important part of the whole situation.
[IMAGE 5: A picture from the X26P User Manual, which displays a safety trigger than must be flipped up for the gun to work].
All tasers have a safety. You have to flip it up so you don’t accidentally shoot yourself in the ass. Now, I’ve only ever owned stun guns and never actually used ones, but I do shoot. When I’m shooting say, a shotgun, it’s an automatic instinct to undo the safety before I shoot. Close, shoulder, aim, safety. Fire. Fire. Close, shoulder, aim, safety. Fire. It’s automatic, but at the same time if I went to flip the safety and my finger ran over where the lever should be, I’d be pretty fucking confused.
And I don’t even going shotgun shooting that often!
Now let’s look at a close-up of the triggers of the Glock 17 and the X26P.
[IMAGE 6: A close up image of the Glock 17 trigger, the X26P trigger, and a diagram of the inside of a Glock 17.]
Glock’s don’t have the standard manual thumb safeties that come with other guns. Instead, they have a trigger safety. It’s hard to see in the first image, but there’s actually a second trigger/piece of metal protruding from the center of the trigger. This way you don’t have to deal with a manual trigger, but the gun won’t go off unless you pull directly back on the trigger.
Again, tactile sense. If you’ve trained with a weapon, a musical instrument, a piece of sports equipment, you know that object inside and out. You might be amazing with a tennis racquet, but if your shorter friend hands you her’s it’ll take awhile to get used to.
Now, it could just be that Potter is incredibly fucking stupid. Let me rephrase that: Potter is definitely incredibly fucking stupid. It’s not just the things she didn’t notice; besides her lack of protocol, she holds her gun with one hand. Maybe you can do that easier with a taser, which doesn’t have this nice little thing called “kickback”, but it’s still bad practice. She fires when one of her coworkers is close to Mr. Wright—generally, it’s a bad idea to fire a taser in an enclosed area.
I can’t speak on the sheer malice or racism in Potter’s own views, but I can say this: Potter was no rookie. She had spent 26 years as a police officer. She was training others. She was head of a fucking police union. So even if she is incredibly apologetic and pro-BLM, even if—this is who the policing system puts their trust in. This is the standard you get, after over 2 decades of experience. A mildly confrontational situation, an officer who doesn’t know her fucking weapons, and a man dead, and a little girl without a father.
Fuck the police. There’s nothing to reform here.

Members of Congress have already taken steps to remove these members from Congress for inciting insurrection. Others have begun to draw up articles of impeachment against Trump. The country’s largest trade association, among other groups, has publicly called for Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office. The NAACP is calling for Trump’s immediate impeachment.
The Senators who took no public stance on whether they would support or protest election certification, with their state and year of next chance to vote them out: Marco Rubio (R-Florida, 2022), Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina, 2026), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska, 2026), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa, 2026), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa, 2022), Rick Scott (R-Florida, 2024), Jim Risch (R-Idaho, 2026), Mike Crapo (R-Idaho, 2022), Todd Young (R-Indiana, 2022), Rand Paul (R-Kentucky, 2022), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Mississippi, 2026), Deb Fischer (R-Nebraska, 2024), Thom Tillis (R-North Carolina, 2026), John Barrasso (R-Wyoming, 2024).
Can we all just appreciate that Alex Hirsch, creator of Gravity Falls, was prank calling Republican voter fraud hotlines on November 6, 2020?

What “pro-ana” means to me
Of course I’m not “pro” ana. None of the people who post with this tag are. None of us want you to develop an eating disorder. None of us want you to starve yourself, harm your body, and hurt your mind. Come on, who the hell would wish this on anyone?
I’m not pro ana.
I know what “ana” is. It’s not something anyone in their right mind would support. I’ve been living with an eating disorder for over 10 years now. That’s my whole teenage and adult life right there. I don’t remember what it’s like living without it. I don’t know what having a normal relationship with food feels like. I don’t know how people go about their daily lives without obsessing about what they eat or how they look.
I’m not pro ana.
“Ana” isn’t something you get out of. I’ll go through a restrictive phase, then relapse into bulimia, and every once in a while, feel like I’m getting better and healthier. It never lasts. It’s as if my eating disorder went to sleep for a while… took a little break, and then came back a little stronger. It always does.
I’m not pro ana.
If you’re not dealing with an eating disorder, or if the content on my blog is triggering to you PLEASE don’t follow me. Please don’t think eating disorders are an easy way to lose weight. Please don’t take any dieting tips from “pro ana” blogs. Please, please, please don’t starve yourself. Don’t harm yourself. Binging, purging, restricting, fasting are terrible ideas. Run while it’s still time.
I’m not pro ana.
I’m “pro” supporting my sisters and brothers who struggle with an eating disorder. If I post something with the tag “pro-ana”, it doesn’t mean I encourage you to develop disordered habits… it means I’m here for you. I’m right there with you.
I don’t support eating disorders, I support people going through them.
something all of us should reblog. i don’t want anybody falling into the same pattern as me. recover while you still can, you deserve to be healthy
yeah, honestly recover before it’s too late.. please
I almost never use the pro ana tag, but I can’t ignore this
This is so important and I wish I’d seen this sooner
anyone feel like they’re too rational to have an ed sometimes? like i know to eat if i’m about to faint, i can act normal when eating out with other people. i can’t decide if i’m deceiving myself or my ed and since when did i become two different people and i hate it.
Whoa someone said it
Legit if I know I can’t get out of a meal I’ll just eat it without external fuss
this!!!! reminder that people with eds dont share a hive mind and dont have to fit an image of the Correct Symptoms to have an ed and be valid
This is my best friend. At the moment she’s being kept alive by tubes and needles because her eating disorder is currently stronger than she is.
Does she weigh 90lbs? No, she doesn’t. Does it look like her eating disorder is “less severe” because she’s not “that thin”? Do you think her situation sounds “less severe” because she’s not “that thin”?
Tubes and needles. Constant supervision. Pain, anger, agony. Hunger, thirst, suffering. Dizziness, constipation, freezing cold. Passing out in front of other patients and staff. Painful injections of vitamins and whatnot. Nurses who’re force feeding her, who’re forcing fluids into her body because her eating disorder is currently stronger than she is.
90lbs or not, without treatment - my best friend will die.
Would you have walked past her on the street and thought she even had an eating disorder at all? Probably not, because people keep believing you can measure or estimate a persons physical and mental health state based on the silhouette of someone’s body.
You can’t.
Never underestimate someone’s eating disorder just because they don’t look “that thin” to you. Being “thin” is just one of MANY symptoms of an eating disorder and it’s far, far from the most important one. Anyone can struggle and if someone you know struggles: don’t assume they’re alright just because they don’t look “that thin”.
Eating disorders come in one size; MISERABLE.
