Hey everyone!  Just a heads up about my activity.  I work 10-12 hours a day, monday through friday, so a lot of the time, especially weekdays, I’m not very active.

I do tend to check in on my blogs throughout the day though, so always feel free to hit me up.  I also have a Discord.

But what happens after that? What do you plan on doing once you’re all alone?

“Would not a large number of healthy trees crowd out the tainted ones? Just as its possible that the illness spreads, it is equally possible for the healthy trees to flourish in spite of them. Would not a world of nothing but animals and spirits be terribly lonely?” 

   “If loneliness is the price of peace, let me be lonely forevermore.”  It was not as if he had not suffered loneliness since leaving his home and his people behind.  “The infection already squeezed the life from an entire planet of people-- my people.  I will cut it off here.  I will end the destruction, the war, the hatred.  I will create a world where life may flourish.”

Human beings are often quite selfish, they would destroy anything for the sake of their own greed, even each other.” He could hear his own words echo in his mind so clearly. “But not all humans are so. I’ve known many who are kindhearted, who look out for those about them, human or animal alike. Is destroying all humanity really the only option?”  

    “Yes.  You do not keep an infested tree for the few good apples it reaps.  You cut it down, lest it taints the whole orchard.  Human lives are as short as human memory.  The kindness of one soul will quickly be extinguished and replaced with the ignorance of another.”

Infested seemed like a rather strong word to use, but he could understand the sentiment. People could be rather… frustrating at times. 

“May I ask what you were hoping for? In an ideal situation, who would the world be filled with instead?” He couldn’t think of what else one would expect to find.

   “Animals and spirits.  Humankind knows how to do nothing but destroy.  It is best to be rid of them entirely.”
