☾ - Taking a nighttime walk with them + ❇ - Stargazing with them
It was a sad state of affairs that had led the once Demon Lord, to perch atop one a large rocky foundation. It was one of many on “the surface” and Ghirahim had been to a great many to ponder the great thoughts, and memories he had.
But this time, it was different. His chest still hurt, one wrong move would send him lurching forward clutching it in pain, and every once in a while he would spasm and contort terribly. That wasn’t the worst part, however.
Being made a traitor due to his own selfish actions, disappointing his master as a sword spirit and willing servant, there came a question of “what now?” And absolutely none of those questions, ever got a reply.
Ghirahim suddenly looked up from his thoughts of self pity and self torment, taking a glanced up to the sky and the stars before sighing. “Isn’t it your bed time, bluebird?” his voice was a soft ripple of what it used to be, but still called to attention the smaller blue spirit floating just beneath himself.
"I came to see how you are doing.” Her voice was the same emotionless tone it had always been, but somehow it grated on his already tight nerves. How was he doing? “How am I doing?” Ghirahim spat out, standing to his full height and turning to glare down at the other sword spirit.
“Let me explain to you, how I have been doing.” Hardly having enough energy to allow himself to reappear else where, he was forced to walk back down adding to his rising anger and humiliation. “I have been humiliated in front of my own army and Master, forced to live a life of excruciating pain, and I have lost most of my power!”
He stopped short, holding his head in one hand while the other held onto his chest, covered in his dark purple shawl. “And to add insult to injury and to further my suffering, the one being I will ever have reason to call my equal or something close, erased her memory and allowed me to continue to think she was dead!” The demon lord looked at her again, this time less of a rage in his eyes, and more sorrowful.
“That, is how I have been doing. You and your sky rodents ruined everything, and I will never be a creature deserving of retribution for my deeds done. He ended his rant
“.....” At first, she didn’t react. The lack of emotion, also had left Ghirahim unable to sense what she was thinking at the present moment. Slowly, Fi raised her head up to look at the heavens, and before her partner could say aything,, she spoke. “Ghirahim, look at the stars with me.” He watched her for a moment, confusion clouding is anger as he slowly looked up with her.
“While it’s true I did forget most of my memories before meeting Master Link, as I followed him on his journey, I was able to regain and recover my memories to one hundred percent.”
“There is no probability that I have done so to harm you. After Her Grace saved me, I requested my own memory to be erased, so as to not cloud my own judgement on the battle field. However, they had come back, and I was unable to end your existence because of that.”
Fi was in front of him by now, watching as he looked back to her, with a different look about his face. Relief, Sadness..it was strange to see. “It might take an underestimated time for myself or anyone to find forgiveness, but there is always a start.”
He listened for a moment, before a small smile overtook his frown, “..Yes,I suppose there always is a start to everything.” He offered a hand out to her, really to hold the thin shawl that hung on her shoulders. “My dearest friend, if you don’t mind. I’d like you to join me by my side. Come take a walk with me, so we an gaze into the stars, and begin the start.”
With a nod and one of the sides taken into his hand, she floated a long side him while they began to walk. Talking and soon getting into a banter, just like the days of old, when she and him lived together.
Ghirahim paused as he watched her, the same thought staying in his head as he did.
“I love you, more than anything Fi. I want...to be the kind of person, you can start to be proud of..”
ooc; Hey, my dash is dead. Do you mind reblogging if you’re interested in interacting with a Linkle from Legend of Zelda? Crossovers and OC’s welcomed!
“If I am not interesting, then why do you block my path?”
The relic took a step back then, giving a quick glance to the side as if to check if there even was room to step around him. There was, but he felt it wouldn’t exactly be easy.
Really he shouldn’t be surprised in the slightest at this man’s attitude, but it was difficult to keep from getting too upset. It wasn’t a sense of pride, no no, Light just didn’t like Ghirahim’s horrible attitude and would rather not endure it.
“Let me through, please.”
“It’s sad, I was right, You really aren’t,” What fun was he if he was just going to insist on leaving. He grew bored and stepped aside. “Fine, I will let you pass, peon~ Be grateful the Lord Ghirahim feels so generous today.”
Ghirahim stared at the bloody jewel laying haphazardly on the ground. Slowly as his memory recovered it’s self, he could recall the small voice it once belonged to. The small body that once housed it, the small friend he once had..
“No....”
This was the price he’d pay for his treachery. The price he paid, for not protecting she who had been and was so very important.
“-- No!! This- this can’t be...”
And in the naked light I saw, ten thousand people maybe more...
People talking without speaking- people hearing without listening.....
Silence like a cancer grows...
A new emotion- pain? grew with his rising anger, and a sadness overtook him. Fi... his bluebird was gone. The lord began to shake and quiver for once in his life, as tears flooded his vision and clouded his better judgement.
“I....No- no..” No...he was not the cause- he didn’t do it.....
but he didn’t protect her either.
“--- FI!!”
A scream ripped through Ghirahim, tearing through his throat and causing his voice to go octaves higher than it was ever used to. This was his price of war. There’d always been an inkling that she would never- but he never expected it to hurt so much.
No, she wasn’t there anymore. She wasn’t anywhere anymore...
Light tensed when the other started to circle him with a smirk on his face. He didn’t feel comfortable like this - the demon’s sight almost glued onto him with interest. It was like he was something on display - a thought that wasn’t plesant in the least..
Okay, now he was being extremely rude. Puny? Sure he wasn’t a God like his creators, but still, have a little more respect. Then again, Ghirahim didn’t know what he was, so chalk that up as a good thing. Maybe?
The relic fidgeted again, brows furrowing in an almost offended manner.
“I am but a humble traveler. That is all.” Smooth.
Oh, that reaction was surely amusing. Ghirahim had to stop himself from laughing. Was he offended? It was laughable.
“Oh, did I offend the puny traveler with my words? I’d say I’m apologetic, but I’m not~ You aren’t interesting in the slightest.”
He should have known that this being would be so persistent. Should he truly give Ghirahim the real answer? Light’s “name” was rather odd for a normal person, but given his almost ethereal appearance, it would fit perfectly.
The relic shifted on his heels, not wanting to stand completely still in case the other tried something.
“Ah-” There was a small pause. Wow, demanding much? “My name is… Light.”
The demon lord smirked, walking around ‘Light’ in a circle. Almost inspecting him. It was quite possible, it was from the fear the other seemed to give off. It intrigued Ghirahim, and only made him want to play around more with him.
“So Light, that’s your name hm? I have to say it’s quite befitting someone so.... bright.” He had to stop himself from cringing. “What are you? Just out of my own curiosity. You don’t really look like any fairy or imp I’ve ever seen, and there’s no way a puny thing like you could be a God.”
“I thought you were one who did not care about the opinions of others? It my agreement necessary on such a matter?” She was the same though, she didn’t pay much attention to what others said about her. If she was being completely honest though, she did care about Hylia’s, Link’s and Ghirahim’s thoughts.
“I don’t.” He responds quickly. “To be honest, I don’t care about the opinions of others. They are but jealous they can never hope or dream to be as flawless as I, however,” The lord takes pause, looking to the other sword and smiling just the tiniest bit.
“A few centuries with you have altered my mind a small bit. I care for your opinion, in a way. And it’s only yours that I’d ever care to hear.” Aside from Demise, of course.
It’s too late really. Ghirahim is curious, and demands to know what this creature is. Being a lord, he means to get his answer right away and stops him from running off. “I do not recall seeing a thing liek you before, tell me your name.” He all but demands, what is polite and friendly ‘how are you?’ Ghirahim certainly didn’t know.
