* headcanons about relationships with ford & bill ( no ford blogs have to take this as canon ! at all ! )
* stan came to gravity falls, after finding out the his brother was there. he came to reconnect long before ford called him. stan was too nervous & found himself at the diner where he met a young && feisty waitress susan . he told her why he came , and after a few drinks shared between the two & susan trying to convince stan to go see ford ---- they ended up having a one night stand instead . stan left that night, never going to go see his brother. after two months susan went to go see ford && tell him she was pregnant with his brother’s child . susan was alone, she had no family in gravity falls & was hoping to find answers on what she should do. after-all, this was his niece or nephew inside her; surely he would have answers. obviously she ended up keeping the baby && becoming friends with ford . yet , I’m sure ford told her that in the end it is susan’s choice with what she does about her child.
* as a baby kristin was a very happy little thing, and would constantly be getting into things she shouldn’t. susan since busy with work at the dinner would try and leave her in ford’s care. which I’m certain resulted in kristin in a baby backpack on some adventure she would never remember & never be able to tell susan about.
* at around four, she became very interested in the things ford was doing . finding herself watching & listening intently to what he was doing & saying. and I’m sure less dangerous adventures with her on some sort of rope leash tied to ford’s belt came along. never in actual danger, since ford is too smart to put the life of a four year old on the line. around this age is when she started thinking ford was like a father to her.
* about eight or nine years old, is when susan started noticing kristin’s lack of friends && people she hung out with. Soos being someone she hung out with on occasion; but kristin spent most of her time hanging around ford & his cabin. she thought of ford as her best friend, and since she hung around him so often she was exceptionally smart & wise for her age. though, she still had moments where she was in fact a little girl ! who aspired to be like ford & in often times would try to wear ford’s clothes and talk like him.
* 12 years old , the age she met bill cipher . this age, the tween age ! it’s very problematic to not have friends. she felt weird in her own skin, the loner kid. so when bill came around? acting like she could be his best friend, his number one : she took it ! her relationship with bill cipher was not a friend / partnership. it was simply a demon using her skin to get to ford pines projects. after-all who expects their own niece? or their science partner. the reason why bill would often hurt kristin when in her body was no ‘mere accident’ as he made it seem. everytime she fell out of a tree , or almost fell to a certain death, it was because bill was trying to get rid of the glasses sign . an easy sign to get rid of ! a child ! despite all of these attempts at her life, she believed it was just an accident ! because she loved her and bill’s adventures with the unknown . until she reached 15 - 16 ----
* as she grew into her teen years , as she watched ford near the end of his project & how she watched bill grow more anxious to get into her body && mess with it ---- she grew more cut off, she grew more snappy & untrusting. she didn’t understand why nobody else could see there was something wrong with her, that she shouldn’t be coming home out of the woods with a broken limb or hurt & bleeding. she grew to not want to hang out with anyone except ford ( because of bill’s impression & threatening ways if she didn’t ) . she was starting to believe bill was doing something he wasn’t supposed to . and as realization hit her as she watched bill leave mcgucket’s body? she knew she had to tell ford - but before kristin could? with bill being able to know all what’s going on in kristin’s head? he stopped her. freezing her forever in her teen body and making her more than nothing but a paperweight . which is in spite of her. because kristin felt like a weight on everybody’s shoulders.
