“Right behind you.” He purred sliding off his shoes and following Kale up the stairs before plugging in his phone. “I did get a cut I wanted you to look at…” He mumbled hoping Kale wouldn’t be too annoyed.

Kale froze as he worked at warming up a dinner for his boyfriend.  He took a breath and tried not to be too worried.  “Will it need stitches?”

“I’m not too sure, I can’t really get a good look at it it’s on my back... “ He lifted his shirt a little and turned around to show him. “Food smells nice.”

“Yes I do you’re right, my phone died” He pouted.

It’s an odd combination to feel validated in your anger but also know there’s nothing that can be done about it.  So, Kale just sighed.  “It’s fine. As long as you’re alright.  Get upstairs and tell me about your day.”
