I wrote these headcanons of my little gay Thug Tug AU to throw at my friends, I thought I'd clean them up and share. I made Tumblr-esk gifs and everything for them why not…
He puts up a grumpy facade and generally doesn't enjoy interacting with others much. He doesn't let anyone but loved ones touch him HE DOES AND WILL BITE. but he's a total fucking coward and generally can't put up much of a fight. he's not UNSTRONG but given the big ass men he loves to be with he's definitely the weakest next to ricky. he might be a little stronger than ricky.
He's easily intimidated by women and is cold towards men
OTHER THAN HIS MAIN CAREER BEING BREAKING AND ENTERING, HE'S ONE OF THE MORE HONEST OUT OF THE GROUP. He's generally empathetic and caring, he's cuddly and loves leeching heat off his big boyfriends (he's usually cold).
NOT THAT THE GROUP IS DISHONEST TO EACH OTHER. But like, Victor, Dennis, and Whiting could pretty easily lie to your face (Whiting being the most likely). Dan would be uncomfortable to do so. Marco and Ricky would not, or would be very uncomfortable to.
Victor is definitely the most genuinely angry out of the whole group. Everyone's pretty much a hot head (except Ricky, who is easily scared by anger) but Victor is the most likely to punch a wall and/or guy cause he's mad. NOT A LOVED ONE, but he's generally much more chill around his loved ones.
ever since I made the joke he's like Walter from The Big Lebowski I can't get that out of my head. HE'S NOT AS DUMB AS WALTER AND HE DOESN'T GET HIS PEOPLE INTO DEEP AWFUL SHIT, but he will just absolutely get mad like that for little reason. also he has an ex wife before coming to terms with being gay, he shares that with walter too. well not the gay part probably but you get it…….
His bar is basically just a bar for his fellow (sea) bears. The only food they serve is oysters.
He's easily the most intimidating looking member of the group, and he'll absolutely use that to his advantage if he catches anyone fucking with one of them.
I give him a slight Scottish accent in my head. He's Scottish, German, and Russian.
Dennis is the strongest physically of the group. He's also probably the most emotionally detached of any of them. Not that he is completely, he loves his partners, and is especially close with Victor. But he doesn't show as much outward emotion, and tends to keep them under lock and key. He's not as likely to blow up as the others tend to be.
He doesn't work as much anymore, tending to take easier jobs if him and Victor go for Mercenary work. His health is declining. Both physical and mental. He's starting to struggle more with hallucinations, as well as neurological difficulties.
He's a skilled hunter, and only uses a gun when hunting. He sticks to a knife.
He doesn't talk much, mostly when spoken to. He's very observant of his surroundings and others.
MARCO IS THE SWEETEST BESIDES RICKY. He's a total grump to everyone, but he's a huge softie underneath that. he's a big cuddly bastard.
he's extremely physically affectionate and is usually hanging on or touching one of his loved ones if he's around them.
He's one of the only members with a spiritual past, growing up catholic. He just dabbles now, conflicted if a god really exists. i wanted this au to reflect real life but i guess this still implies fish jesus either way djfkgh
He usually smells of cheap cigarettes and strong cologne
He's the oldest of the group at 53, and tends to be into things before the other's times because of it. He feels a little out of touch because of it.
Whiting is definitely the slimiest of the bunch, he's the biggest jackass of them all. He will manipulate his loved ones, though he's finally finding guilt over his actions.
The group didn't come together, nor was as close together, after an incident where Whiting stole a good chunk of money from Marco. They stopped seeing each other for a little over a year till Ricky was introduced to the group. Slowly bringing them all back together.
He tries to be a better man for his partners, but often finds himself falling back into his old habits. Even if it isn't as hard as before.
He's one of the least bright of the group, he can be manipulated as easily as he can manipulate others.
He probably has some of the least control of his emotions, he has a wide range of emotional outbreaks. Still, he never physically hurts his partners.
He likes the outdoors, and finds a lot of catharsis in being in the middle of nowhere. He takes hunting trips with Dennis occasionally.
Ricky stands out the most of the group. He's not cold or angry, he's warm and inviting. Happy to speak to others and be around them.
He's easily taken advantage of due to his good will and naivety, especially in the environment he works in (The Thug Tug). One of his partners is usually around to make sure he stays safe.
The others are always softest towards him. They use softer tones and don't usually get angry or frustrated around him.
He works as a bartender and an entertainer. Serving as a dancer, singer, and instrumentalist.
He clings to his boys whenever they're around him.
He addresses the group as "the boys". And an individual as his "boy".
He's the most effeminate by far, and hasn't had top surgery like Dennis. Still, he's addressed and seen as a man. And none of the group let anyone call him otherwise.
He can walk on all fours, as it was common in the culture he came from. Though he usually only does to run fast now.
He has very animal-istic mannerisms, again common in the culture he came from.
