I love seeing stagecoaches in westerns. This one pictured is from the rifleman episode called "Guilty Conscience"

Anyway, as much as I love black and white, I wish it was in color sometimes so I could see what color the coach was since I freaken' love stagecoaches. My favorite model is the wells fargo one with the red paint and yellow wheels shown below. Anyway, yeaa. Yours truly, your stagecoach obsessed fan

John - goes from job to job until becoming buying his own hunting shop and gets to go hunting often

Dutch - used to be a generally unliked politician by the people (aside from a cult following) but quit to become a youth group leader essentially grooming children into his ideals

Hosea - Uni Professer who would've been fired years ago for his actions but students adore him and somehow get good results

Arthur - a small art store owner with few yet very recurring customers

Sadie - hunter out far away from cities (buys from John's place and goes with him hunting)

Charles - farmer far from cities too

Uncle - FIRED UNEMPLOYED BUM

Bill - running a construction company

Kieran - stable hand

Jack - writer (1914) but works for in his mother's bar sometimes for extra cash

Karen - door to door saleswoman

Tilly - fashion designer

Mary-beth - a writer too

This rapid fire mechanism was designed originally just to keep Chucks finger from getting punctured by the trigger as he fired and cocked the rifle very fast. The role demanded that. To have a rifle modified in this way certainly presents a safety hazard since the gun will fire in a semiautomatic fashion as the lever is cocked if the screw is turned in to initiate the trigger. The Rifleman cocked the rifle in two unique fashions. He spin cocked it and swing cocked it. These two cocking methods enabled Chuck to cock the rifle using only one hand. The weapon that made the Rifleman a television legend was an 1892 .44-40 Winchester carbine. The gun itself was specially modified with a large loop and metal tab to turn his rifle into a rapid-firing machine. The modification was made giving Connors the ability to spin and cock the rifle in a dramatic fashion. The trigger guard was retooled with a screw to trip the trigger every time the lever was closed. The gun became an icon for Connors, and today is one of the most recognizable guns in the world. Source

thoughts/headcanons below:

admittedly some of these quotes are taken out of context, but i thought they all represented the unconditional adoration mark has for lucas.

even knowing that lucas is only human- and i think mark realized this quite young, given how the series hints at the depression lucas had following margaret’s passing- and eventually coming to see his flaws and mistakes, his regard and worship for his father never falters. i think a part of mark wishes he still had that naive understanding that his father is invincible, but i think he loves him more knowing that he’s fallible, and i think the idea of being able to protect his pa pleases him as well, too, although lucas probably wouldn’t want mark to feel that way or have such a responsibility.

despite this father-son love being one of the central themes and the core of the show, the characters only voice their love a few times; but that’s because every single thing they do and choice they make is a declaration of love, just of a different kind.
