ik this blog is dead but yknow what, im gonna take advantage of my following to make an important post:
this pride month, i want you to educate yourselves & support the "controversial" queers.
& no i dont mean people with contradictory labels or xeno pronouns or those who use outdated/offensive terminology. i mean the people that even the most sex-positive, pro-kink, self-proclaimed perverts think are dangerous freaks who deserve to die.
i mean the paraphiles & people with taboo or stigmatized kinks/fetishes. i mean the people into the most taboo & stigmatized things like children, animals, corpses, & incest. i mean the people into violent things like murder, gore, rape, & abuse. i mean the people into unsanitary things like piss, shit, vomit, sweat, & snot. i mean the people into things that are constantly memed on like feet, armpits, bodily excretions, cartoon characters, pool toys, & plushies. i mean the people with attractions that would be illegal, immoral, or downright impossible to act out in real life.
no attraction is inherently harmful or evil. there are safe ways to indulge in these things such as fictional content, roleplay with consenting partners, & custom sex toys.
no, i dont think paraphilias are lgbt+ identities. they cant really be grouped into the same category or treated the same way as being gay or trans. but paraphilias are undeniably queer, as theyre highly stigmatized attractions that fall outside the norm. paraphiles face far more violence & hatred than any other lgbtq identity you can think of. it is still normalized & accepted to subject paraphiles to abusive treatments that have been proven to be cruel & ineffective, such as conversion therapy, forced sterilization, & excessive medication. even queer people forget their own history & advocate for this kind of abuse for paraphiles. there is no safe space for paraphiles to seek support, acceptance, or community the way lgbtq has pride, & that's a damn shame.
& believe it or not, many (maybe even most!) paraphiles are gay, bi, pan, poly, trans, nonbinary, aro, ace, & any other lgbtq identity you can think of.
so yes, paraphiles belong at pride. spend this month unlearning preconceived biases & educate yourself on what paraphilias actually are & how theyre not inherently dangerous.

tumblr is so good at glorifying mental illness its not funny. just so we get it out of the way, if you have these thoughts u dont deserve death, you deserve HELP. and just bc you have mental disorders doesnt mean youre inherently dangerous, which goes with any mental disorder. pedophilia and zoophilia are both mental disorders and not something that should be normalized.
ohh i can smell it now "you're calling zoophilia and pedophilia mental illness? this is JUST LIKE what they called queers!!!" apples and oranges brother. people call people who don't like cats mentally ill. does that make schizophrenia any less of a disorder? does that make disliking cats any more of a disorder?
paraphiles deserve acceptance just as much as people with mental disorders do. not "yesss be a zoo, be you!!" everyone deserves support, thats the main way to getting help. community all depends on your surroundings (not all paraphiles r dangerous but not all are safe either.)
putting pedophiles nd zoos on the same level as people who like feet AND EVEN JUST CARTOON CHARACTERS is just so crazy to me too..
OH AND not to mention? One look at the propara tag and you'll see the community they feel safest with- radqueers. you know, the pro transracial, transabled people. you can look into that urself.

Paraphiiles, especially the big 3, BARELY have any ability to attempt to get help even if they're disordered and despising themselves for their attraction.
Why?
Because they're instantly mistreated, dehumanized, and treated as though they're unable to breathe without offending.
Yes, even by mental health professionals like therapists, which is most likely what you'd consider the first step to getting help.
There are far more labels to the term paraphilia than just the big 3. The fact you're surprised that Podophilia and Fictophilia are "being put on the same level as Zoos and Pedos" already shows that you're embarrassingly uneducated about what paraphilias are.
If you actually gave a damn about helping paraphiliacs get help and not offend, if you actually gave a damn about protecting children and animals from being victimized, you'd be AGREEING with the original post.
Destigmatizing paraphilias is nowhere near the same thing as going "Hey guys, we should let grown adults fuck children, corpses, and animals!" It's going "Hey, these are genuine things that can happen and that people can struggle with. If you fear that you may act upon your attractions, you can go to X Y and Z to get help without being talked down upon."
And even then, here's the kicker. Thought crimes don't exist. Shocker, I know, but just because you think thoughts doesn't immediately mean you're going to act upon them. Isn't this what other kinds of mentally ill people with intrusive thoughts have been trying to say?
Get off your high fucking horse and put down your holier than thou complex for three seconds I am BEGGING you. It's not going to do anything good for anyone except maybe your ego.

idk if u actually read my post or what but you "thoughtcrime doesn't exist" fools really have no idea what that truly means. It genuinely doesn't apply to what I said. Different story if i said "if you have these thoughts DIE" but i didn't! But whatever, i'll assume you were just restating the obvious. I'm not saying they should be arrested immediately. im not saying they should die. Its not thoughtcrime to think *checks notes* pedophiles... are weird? Nowhere did i say that they would immediately go and assault a kid or animal.
btw, that destigmatizing thing... i agree with that. Nowhere did i DISAGREE with that. You really pulled most of these arguments out of your rear end (and i'm yapping just to yap? How old are you, 12?) just because you have an idea of people who don't like proud paraphiles and the normalization of paraphilias that could cause harm.
So, in what way does allowing paraphiles at pride protect children? I should agree with that, right? If i care about animals and kids, allow paraphiles at pride, right???? Instead of "destigmatizing" that sounds like "normalizing" to me but who knows
Pedophilia will never be on the same level as fictophilia for me. Don't care if they're both paraphilias. People who like bakugo from my hero academia do not face anything CLOSE to people who like real life kids and animals. There's BARELY any stigma there, because, news flash, the only similarity it has is its class. If you can't see that and truly can't understand why they are absolutely not on the same level then maybe quit telling me about "yapping" and go back to your english 2 class.
(Side note, has anyone saying this "thoughtcrime" stuff even read 1984? Seriously, i fear there may be a correlation in not reading 1984 and misunderstanding the meaning of "thoughtcrime")
