It's a start...again
Actually feeling really great right now. Absolutely don't want this virus. Absolutely want everyone to wear a mask. Absolutely want all of us to be more open and understanding of one another.
I believe empathy will make 2021 spectacular.
I did a thing.
#F2020
This year has been a year, for a lot of people. I started 2020 on the verge of a breakdown and realizing I might have a serious case of depression. I felt I could do nothing right. I couldn't win.
Then #Covid-19 hit and my mom passed suddenly with a massive stroke the week before everything shut down.
Like so many others I had to deal with loss in an environment that is beyond normal. Months later my dad's health declined and we had to move him into assisted living, during a pandemic. #2020 was the year that just kept giving....shit. One thing after another this year. thankfully my dad is still with us.
As I sit here I need to be honest and say this. I've had a year, however, others have had it worse. Much worse. What I realized is:
1- I can only control what I can control.
2- Every day is a new day that can be better than the last.
3- Your friends and family are there for you. If you let them in.
4- We're in this together. As one nation, one people, one species. It's too much effort to be a dick. Breathe, have empathy for others and they will show you the same.
5- one day soon you will be able to hug again. And it's going to feel awesome.
There is light at the end of your tunnel. Go to it. It's getting closer. Be strong.
Keep your composure. Keep pushing.
Day 1
I've had this article bookmarked for months now. I finally decided that I'd start here. I've set up 3 of the 8. Now it's time to clean up my inbox and start the others.
