last hearing before trial tomorrow, i wonder what he’s thinking. the entire team as well.
-2
wish i could go back to the day i saw this photo for the first time. this was major 🫠
🧶📝 part 2:
in part 1 i mentioned some of the solutions that the murder could have possibly represented in my opinion in luigi’s mind. to summarize the previous post, they are:
1. purpose/meaning
2. necessary act due to the greediness and cruelty in which the US operates in various settings (HC being only one of them)
3. search for justice for others and himself
📩 in this post i’ll focus on discussing elements that support point 2, as point 1 & 3 are actually somewhat tied together.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the united states is arguably one of the clearest examples of the immorality that could possibly come out of the greediest and most cruel capitalistic system: through the privatization of healthcare human lives become capital and care is not for patients but rather for clients buying a product. the government puts its citizens in a condition where most of them will likely spend decades paying a crippling amount of debt just because they chose to further their education. there’s no strong welfare and this puts people in a condition where they could very well be a hospital bill, or a missed paycheck away from homelessness.
— essentially: everything, even the most basic & needed of things, become profitable in a society built on individualism and capitalism.
📌 now, i believe that luigi clearly recognized the capitalist nature of the country as a culprit for most of its modern issues. he makes a reference to this in a reddit comment, saying that the medical industry responds to someone that says they can’t work “far more urgently than you describing [..] how it’s impacting your quality of life” because “we live in a capitalist society”, but i also derive it from some very strong statements he expresses in his journal:
“Healthcare conveys a greedy bastard that had it coming” “[..] annual parasitic bean-counter convention” “ Frankly these parasites simply had it coming”
he might just be really against healthcare, no? eh, this doesn’t really hold up when you come to learn that it’s only in august that he identifies health insurance as the target as “it checks every box”. furthermore, the use of certain words such as parasitic and greedy undeniably point to a level of anti-capitalist sentiment especially when, as i said, what emerges from the writings is that health insurance wasn’t the target from the get go.
this also doesn’t hold up when you consider he never had personal struggles with his insurance
and when he spends only 262 words to talk about the topic in his manifesto. manifesto in which he also ends up pointing to others for people to have better understanding of something he literally decided it was worth to murder someone over.
on top of all of this, his review of ted k’s “industrial society and its future” also includes words that support my thesis, which is that he recognized a more broad and general issue with the way society was operating.
first off, here’s a short summary of the book to understand what he was commenting on:
according to TK the Industrial Revolution and modern technology have destroyed human freedom and the natural environment. He claimed that society forces humans to adapt to machines, leading to psychological suffering and the collapse of traditional autonomy
here some of what luigi shares in his review about this book
“ [..] simply impossible to ignore how prescient many of his predictions about modern society turned out”
and then, once he’s done discussing TK he shares someone’s take that he found interesting, where the person brings up the way to deal with society’s problems:
“Had the balls to recognize that peaceful protest has gotten us absolutely nowhere and at the end of the day, he’s probably right”
“When all other forms of communication fail, violence is necessary to survive”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
in conclusion, there’s clearly multiple elements that support that the murder was committed to address the profound greed and cruelty that american society is victim of in multiple ways, healthcare being only one of them.
and apparently the only one that checks every box.
perhaps because of the number of people it affects? because of the undeniable immorality of profiting off of humans in the lowest moments of their life? because of its peculiar sick greediness which becomes a symbol for everything that is wrong in a capitalist system? ….😶
🧶📝 part 1:
a narrative that low-key never satisfied me is that luigi did it solely due to either his chronic back pain or his mental health crisis. or a mix of both.
don’t get me wrong, i definitely take into consideration that these factors could have possibly heavily contributed to it, especially the latter, considering his isolation, relationship with psychedelics and him feeling not understood. and certainly his physical issues probably played a big part as well. but what fascinates me about this case is mainly one thing
with all the issues that he faced in his life, of physical or psychological nature, some of which i cited above, what did the murder represent for him? what kind of solution did it represent in his mind?
— was it supposed to give him the purpose and meaning he was seeking as he realized he was unsatisfied with his life and with his current self?
— was it a necessary act in his mind? perhaps something made him look at the bigger picture and made him realize the tragic state in which society operates
— was it to seek justice for himself and others?
i would’ve made peace with the fact that the motive behind the murder was purely due to psychological/physical struggles if i didn’t stumble across the line in his journal that reads that “UHC checks every box”. and this alone is worthy of a separate post, so to also not make this one too long + to add more takeaways from the evidence we have i’ll make a part 2 post on this, hopefully tomorrow.
Luigi’s letter to the witness after the trial be like: “I apologize for the inconvenience I caused you two years ago, but it had to be done, and it had to be done right beside you, even though it was like 6:30 in the morning and the rest of the street was empty. I guess you were just collateral damage. This apology is long overdue, but just in case you weren’t over it. Anyway, I’m going to go back to my cockroaches now.”
Carpe diem
Luigi
ya know anon i don’t support the murder but i will say that he prob took his chance the moment he had it. and i doubt his peripherical view was on in that moment he was probably only seeing brian
lol
i’m so heartbroken about mbappe having rape allegations i usually don’t care for football players beyond the pitch like that but he actually seemed like such a good person so i kinda feel a way
not gonna reshare your ask anon but i was team spain
“i remember that one of the most interesting points of his college acquaintance’s analysis of his personality to me was when he said luigi would replicate traits that he saw were appreciated in others. he even went as far as saying that he was “desperate” for social admiration. this usually comes from some level of narcissism (ego craves admiration and attention) or a general sense of insecurity and/or a fragile sense of self ( upbringing could play a role, and usually does) . it could be a combination of the two, i don’t know. however i believe the first factor plays a role, to what extent i’m not sure of.”
I’m really happy you spoke on this. Is this friend of the Luigi the person on the PBD? If, I wrote to lavender about this but she hasn’t answered yet (no offense) I know everyone is busy.
I do agree that certain traits may be noticeable in persons without having to know them personally but I don’t see narcissistic traits in Luigi hence the confusion.
It can stem from my belief that labeling someone a “narcissist” is a really strong word for me. I have to have a solid point from observation that someone has narcissistic traits for me to label the traits as such. I know that saying someone has those traits doesn’t necessarily take away from them being a nice person. I’m not saying that you think he’s a narcissist.
“that his ego lives for the attention and appreciation he’s getting. and i wonder where this deep desire for validation/appreciation comes from.”
I know that you think the above but I disagree because I think everyone wants to be validated or seeks validation to a certain extent and not all attention is good attention. When I read somethings, it seems like Luigi was surrounded by attention even pre-arrest. For example, people creating group chats about him to thirst, Katy, I love Luigi 1,2&3, Surfbreak member saying he would always turn heads.
look at the number of persons who came out to speak on Luigi, even they wanted some form of attention, some more than others. Why do we have so many stories from persons who he had brief experiences with? Attention. Most times, beauty attracts attention.
This new found fame is probably flattering to him but it looked like attention wasn’t something he wasn’t used to (for example many friends etc). However, him wanting to be validated could be about him feeling insecure about himself (only being uplifted for being smart nothing else) who knows.
if Luigi were not as handsome as he is, the case wouldn’t have garnered such attention. Granted people were rooting for a suspect before Luigi was named one.
When I read various statements on Luigi quotes many, if not most of the people who spoke out had good things to say, notably that he wasn’t attention seeking, he was mellow. What stood out to be was that even in that Chinese documentary on 16 year old Luigi, even though the guy made not to nice comments (incriminating) about him he still shared that Luigi wasn’t an attention seeker or the type to seek attention but was very laid back and could have the attention of the room/class just by his commanding voice/nature.
I do believe that there are some people who get more attention than others even when they’re not nice people (off topic).
if it’s from the PBD person. I get that he may be jealous of Luigi, not because he has negative comments but because he criticizes Luigi for certain characteristics that many of his supposed friends looked to Luigi for even quoting he’s someone to be like and they often went to him for advice. How can this person call out Luigi but not his very own friends?
sorry for being long❤️
thank you for your insights ask anon, and don’t worry about its length lol - i appreciated this exchange of ideas 🩶

yes

i’m glad you recognize that i wasn’t meaning to call him a narcissist in my post because i don’t want that to get misunderstood. i think he is many things, and also that he displays some narc traits/ has a strong ego. of course this is all theoretical ~ so i’m not saying he 100% has narc traits since that would require direct knowledge of him. what i’m saying is that i think he does have them due to x and y reasons, so it’s merely an attempt at trying to build a profile from what we know of him which is not a lot.

although wanting validation is a general human trait i mean that he seems like he wants to be really appreciated for the ideas that his mind has and now for the kind of person that he became. it’s a bit more than the basic desire for validation. sometimes you can really tell he’s a bit smug with his behavior which ties to this whole discourse. and yes, i agree that he was used to attention but rather for his intellect than his looks considering the kind of people he was friends with, and since i doubt he was aware of the group chats crushing on him. him already being used to attention doesn’t mean that he isn’t enjoying it now, especially considering that this is a different kind of attention and it’s certainly much bigger.
This new found fame is probably flattering to him but it looked like attention wasn’t something he wasn’t used to (for example many friends etc). i think he prefers the uplifting of his smartness rather than that of his looks but i don’t exclude that he could be insecure, but more so in a general way so including about his smartness as well. i think he specifically loves the concept of revolutionary ideas, he liked a quote about this as well. and for him to be the revolutionary at play must feel amazing, to have people uplift you for carrying forward an act intented to be revolutionary must feel like a dream. and i absolutely agree about the fundamental role his looks play here — if you want to elaborate more on this i’m curious on what you think.

i don’t think he is attention seeking but i do think he likes being celebrated and uplifted so this doesn’t surprise me since i also view him as someone who’s pretty laidback, kind, chill, a bit shy/insecure. this can be true even if he has a bit of an ego/ pride.
if it’s from the PBD person. I get that he may be jealous of Luigi, not because he has negative comments but because he criticizes Luigi for certain characteristics that many of his supposed friends looked to Luigi for even quoting he’s someone to be like and they often went to him for advice. idk it didn’t come off like jealousy to me but i’ll check it out again to see. it read more like those brutally honest kind of opinions
"He smiled for the federal hearing and was said to be very bubbly. Ig he doesn’t like cameras"
Such a whore for the feds, he loves them. He wrote it himself on his letter. To the feds, i'll keep it short, because I do respect what you do for this country.
He respects the feds, he will agree with whatever sentence they give him. It is fair in his eyes for him to be in a cell for a decade. He has balls of steel.
i think he was in a good mood because he prefers federal court than the state court by a mileee due to the different charges and judges and maybe even different environment
about the feds - i don’t know if he straight up loves them but tbh it could be anon, or maybe he just didn’t want to make them struggle unnecessarily
I want to stimulate your clit 💔 - Luigi
im right here bb
“Not responding, covering his face and no smiles”
He smiled for the federal hearing and was said to be very bubbly. Ig he doesn’t like cameras
he’s been side eying them from the start lol so i can’t tell if he doesn’t like them or if he’s just checking for his surroundings 🤷🏽♀️
i can’t wait for trial but i know i’m gonna be so overstimulated
I could definitely see Luigi having undiagnosed autism, other than him being a high achiever even him “replicating” traits of people he deems admirable just seems like almost a textbook trait. and also if he was / is the shooter it would explain why he has such a strong push for social justice since many autistic people feel that way aswell.
as someone who’s neurodivergent I could just be reflecting my own personality onto his own actions so don’t take this too seriously!! I just think it’s interesting to think about :)
i think he does, i wasn’t aware about how “replicating traits” part could fit this so i will look more into it but feel free to elaborate on that if you want to. i welcome all opinions and it’s interesting to share our opinions on this.
i cut down on some stuff in my previous post but there’s multiple things that make me believe what i said which is that he has a strong ego and possibly even some level of narcissism.
i have a few questions for you anon lmk if you’re still around !!
it was so funny to me when karen stated that luigi wasn’t posing here when it’s clear he was trying to have a “moment”
as much as i do like luigi i’m as unbiased as i can when it comes to exploring analyses that try to breakdown his personality, so i will say that this kind of gesture perfectly fits the exact profile of him i have in mind.
as terrible as the situation he is in is, some things make me believe that his ego lives for the attention and appreciation he’s getting. and i wonder where this deep desire for validation/appreciation comes from.
i remember that one of the most interesting points of his college acquaintance’s analysis of his personality to me was when he said luigi would replicate traits that he saw were appreciated in others. he even went as far as saying that he was “desperate” for social admiration. this usually comes from some level of narcissism (ego craves admiration and attention) or a general sense of insecurity and/or a fragile sense of self ( upbringing could play a role, and usually does) . it could be a combination of the two, i don’t know. however i believe the first factor plays a role, to what extent i’m not sure of.
📍 to be clear this is not hate at all. just personal thoughts.
