Hello, my name is Dereck, I'm a kind of weird and awkward 14-year-old kid, I come from Peru, I like to listen to music, read books, make cool stuff with cardboard, do origami, and sometimes draw or write. I am also a Spanish speaker and speak it fluently. I made this blog so I could maybe share it with my friends to know me, and share cool stuff I sometimes make. Yeah, pretty much it, I'm not really expecting a lot of people on the internet to read my blog. Still, I'm maybe thinking (when I have time to) to share some projects I sometimes do. If maybe some other people like to suggest stuff on my projects or watch and like the stuff I do, I'm gonna feel grateful to them. I'm into some fandoms and like videogames, books, music, like

Undertale: I love Undertale and it's one of my biggest hyperfixations. I like the story, art, music, etc. I feel happy I grew up with it

Deltarune: I love it so much, a big hyperfixation like Undertale.

Hollow Knight: I like it, although it's not as big as others, but I still like it

FNAF: not much as before, but I still like it

Omori: great game, I like the art style and music

Bendy and the Ink Machine: good game, I still remember it when I was a kid

Jurassic Park: I like the horror of the novels and the movies also, even though I might not know a bunch of it

Lemon Demon: I like it, it's weird, great music

Jack Stauber: Even weirder music, I love it.

Will Wood: Even peaker songs! One of my favorite music artists

Vocaloid: I don't really know a lot about the fandom, but I like some songs

Sonic the Hedgehog: better than Mario in my opinion. I grew up with it since I was a kid.

Nasa histories: a Spanish cool band I like a lot because of its music

Alan Becker animations: I love its animations and stick figures

Ena Joel G: I like it a lot since the creator is Peruvian and I am also Peruvian

BFDI: kind of recently started to like it.

Characters I sometimes hyperfixate on, I'm probably gonna change this multiple times.

Flowey from Undertale. I like its lore in Undertale a lot, even though it might be evil at the end of the pacifist route, I found it really is not.

Eram from Deltarune. I like the design and the way we get to fight with it, plus maybe it can give us some future lore? i also liked his battle theme

Kris the Anything Muppet from the AU Deltarune the other puppet. The concept of switching secret bosses with lightners is interesting, its battle them is a banger, and the design of it looks great.

Pace the hedgehog, from a fan Sonic the Hedgehog AU called Sonic and the black sun. and also from the video Self-Paced. I like this character because of how silly they are, plus their design looks great

Rewrite Sonic. It looks silly, cool, and creepy. The FNF songs it has sound great.

Fredbear plush, it's from the FNAF series, specifically from FNAF 4, it's the crying child's plushie. I like this character because when I was a kid, I was scared of a lot of things and commonly had nightmares, just like the crying child.

I can't remember anymore for now. My gender is male, and my pronouns are he/him. I'm not part of the lgbtq+ community, but I'm not homophobic or hate it. If you feel identified that way, it's fine. The only requirement for me to become friends is to just be kind to me, that's all :D Uhh, what else could I say? If you ever feel sad, or angry, or maybe want to vent, I'm here, I guess? I would love to comfort a friend who is going through a hard time, since I know it would suck to be alone with those hard feelings.

Atiofe Update

Hi, so it's been a long time since my last post, and I'm sorry for being a little inactive. Now that it's summer, I've got into camps, chores, etc. But some stuff did happen that I would like to share.

So, a thing I told the team members a long time ago was to make their own NPCs and OCs to add to the game. One of the team members shared sprites for their character. She's called Audra and will be an NPC friend with Indie, who is a guard in one of the bases

I worked on a new character that would probably be important, Marsh's father, Malcolm the scientist, who will play an important role later on.I also made a picture with Lidya and Malcolm for Mother's Day, so quite a while.

I had the idea for a new character joining Marsh. It has a gas mask, and we will meet them at an industrial plant that will play an important role in spreading the cure. For now, I have only made concept art, but I am looking forward to working more on this character.

I made a small redesign to the ezit for a comic I made, which would reveal a little too much about the lore and story that I want to keep a mystery. I will at least share that the consciousness of the person is not lost, but somewhere else, somewhere that the ezit moved them to.

I also worked in the first area of the game, a mountain, and also ran sprites for the marsh. They were a little hard, but I got to finish them and add them to the game.

There was other stuff worked on, but I didn't want to share way too much information. For now, that's all. I'm thinking of probably deleting this account and making a blog fully about ATIOFE, so it may happen, not too soon, but it will, so thank you to all the people that supported this blog, there were very few, but I really appreciate your support, anyways bye ty!

ATIOFE small update

So it's been a long while almost like a whole month. I got busier with finals, fieldtrips, and work from school to add much to the project, but some stuff happened.

I made the sprite of an NPC. It is Cody, the dog of a friend @kuiper-727, who unfortunately passed away, so I made the sprite in memory of the dog. I'm thinking of the NPC to appear in every act of the game as a little easter egg.

Marsh's mom was finally made! The concept art was made by a friend, and I was the one who turned it into a sprite, do not mention ever how the concept art looks like jaiden its just a coincidence. I preferably made the sprite of Marsh's mom, Lydia, look like someone very calm and patient, since the infection can spread more quickly or more slowly depending on the mental health of the person. The more negative thoughts the people have, the quicker they will become zombies, and I'm planning for Lydia to be infected since the incident, but not be fully infected, and rather feel more sick.

I am still working on the walking sprites since they are so difficult to do.

Then, a while ago, I made this small song, even though I don't think it could fit anywhere in the game since the game is mostly creepy and scarier than cool, like this melody. I am working on more songs, actually, I am experimenting with more songs

and tats pretty much it, I got very busy and couldn't work on this project for too much, but when I get to springbreak i ill get more free time than ever and work more on the project, bye.

Little update

So I haven't uploaded in a while like almost a month, I'm getting busy with school work and other stuff so I couldn't really add too much. But for now the most important things that has been happening is the creation of the game in gamemaker! I am still a beginner got a lot of help from the Internet so yeah here it is

And a little bit more of a peak in the storyplot

9: Marsh, Mica, and Cthu spend the whole next morning/day walking to the base and protecting themselves, until they finally arrive late into the day

10: They meet Indie, one of the helpers at the base. Indie used to be Mica's partner and best friend, until she left because she wanted a more normal life. Marsh also recognized her from a few days ago, but she was at a different base. Indie brings them to the medic, and they gain info on the cure, how the infection works, and a salt gun.

11: (you can scrap this if it's not necessary): Indie convinces the three to stay at the base for the night, and Mica is very against it. While Marsh and Cthu are down at the base, Mica lies down on top of a nearby hill, and Indie follows him. They talk more and end up staying up there for the night.

12: Marsh, Mica, and Cthu all leave the base with Indie's best wishes and return to Mica's shed to regroup with a new plan.

Act 3: Needs improvement

13:Marsh has a weird dream, he finds himself in a white filled space, nothing but void around him, to then see a small orange puddle in the floor, he hears the words "are you still there?" for then the orange puddle to turn into a alien like body (The Ezit sprite) then Marsh and the "alien" have a conversation, as who are you? What do you want? Why are you here? By the end of the dream, he learns something new: the water plant is significantly connected to the Chemical plant, "You will find something in there."

14: Marsh tells them about his dream and that they should go to the chemical plant. They get ready with some supplies, and the only salt gun they have

15: Cthu, Marsh, and Mica go to the Chemical plant, they find more salt guns in there and multiple zombies, They all decide to separate and investigate different parts of the chemical plant, Marsh decides to only shoot the zombies if is extremely required to stun them and to not kill them, Cthu was about to end a zombie but Marsh quickly tells Cthu to not since they are persons after all.

ATIOFE update

Hey, so some stuff happened, specially saturady and Sunday, so the friends that wanted to join the project started making some work and jobs were figured out, like background artist, dialogue writter, plot story writer, etc.

I got to update the plot storyline. I don't want to spoil too much of it, so I'm gonna show a small part of it

19: In the night, when Marsh finally falls asleep, Cthu decides to talk with Mica. It asks what will be the plan, Micas says that Marsh will go to see her mother with a small ration of the cure, an that the two of them would go to the water plant, to put all the cure in it, and essentially break the water plant, so the whole small village gets flooded. Then Cthu explains how Marsh's mother works at the water plant, but she is infected, so the one with the best knowledge in the water plant is Marsh. "But then what will we do?" "YOU WILL GO TO TAKE CARE OF MARSH'S MOTHER, YOU WILL HIDE THE CURE WHEN YOU GO TO THE BASE, YOU MAY TAKE A SMALL RATION OF THE CURE FOR YOU AND FOR MARSH'S MOTHER, WHILE ME AND MARSH WILL GO TO THE WATER PLANT

20: The conversation keeps going, in a moment Mica tells Cthu how he thought Cthu was gonna betray them, because it looks intimidating, then Cthu decides to show its claws to Mica, "Have you ever... used them?" "YES" "...what happened?" "WHEN MARSH AND ME FIRST MET, A PERSON SEVERELY INFECTED GOT EXTREMELY CLOSE AND I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO ANNIHILATE THAT HUMAN" "They are still persons..."THEY ARE PERSONS THAT MAKE ME SICK"

And lastly, a new character was added! Indie, it was made by a friend, and I got the concept art for it, so then I made the sprites

The description is still being worked on, but it is gonna be somewhat related to mica

Atiofe small update

Hello, so I've been gone for a long time, so im here to give a small update on the project. Very few little things have been done

Cthu's walk cycles had been done, it was kind of hard since it moved more like a robot, and the multiple sides of its head were hard.

I made eyestrain art for all the characters for fun one day. A small hidden detail I wanted to show with this art is that Mica and the medic have orange outlines. While Marsh and Cthu do not, what else in the world of ATIOFE is specially orange? What would this hint?

I made my first pixel art background for Marsh's room. It was kind of hard and looks kind of messy, but I feel like, for my first time, I did well.

Lastly, some concepts that I got from a friend about the alien organism were:

-When the organism has a host, it will not let its host rot, and it will make it stay healthy, such as eating food, staying hydrated, sleeping, and getting rest to regain energy, etc.

-The organism will not directly control the host's brain, telling it what to do, t will make its own brain work independently; it will give a small thought to the brain of the host to spread the infection, even though the host might not know they are infected.

-The more the organism has spread to the host's body, the more that thought in the brain has grown, until the host becomes insane

-If the host has any talent or ability, such as running or strength, the organism will use it a lot and will benefit from it.

-While the infected persons get more insane, they lose more of their humanity, to the point of being insane, that is when the host is now useless, and the organisms decides tio leave it, even though this process is very long. This proccess wil be called "DECAYING." This process might be slower or faster depending on the person.

This DECAYING process was something knew and it will probably be elaborated more in the future. Anyway, that was about it. I'm lazy and cringe bye

Zombie pocalypse project update

So a few things were done, still though I got busy on Saturday and sunday but I got time to add some small stuff.

So the medic gets infected and tries to fight the infection in vain, i tried my best to give some expression to the medic because he is kind of a frowny person.

Cthu got a redesign

I decided to change it so it can be more expressive, so now Cthu has a single eye to watch. The body design also changed, so it is not as tall as before, but still tall.

The Ezit Sprite

So I had the idea, what if the alien organism had a physical form that we humans could see, so I thought Marsh could have a dream of talking with an Ezit, so I made this sprite

so i havent drawed in digital art for a while, so I wanted to draw Cthu, it's not really that good, but it's ok because I am still a beginner artist

Lastly, ideas for the project

I thought of multiple ideas for the project or the game itself, such as a special object, maybe a plant, that has significance in the story and could be used as save points.

Bamboo trees, sunflowers, and other plants can absorb radioactivity. For example, the bamboo trees were one of the few things that survived the Hiroshima explosion.

I would want to give plants a little more meaning to the story, maybe like save points, for example: how Undertale uses a star as a checkpoint, Omori uses a picnic basket, etc.

We could always find Bamboo trees in certain spots, then cut them to symbolize we saved a file, and they will regrow once we open that save file.

Another idea is that in the bases we would be required to eat salty food, so it does not spread the Infection since it does not like salt. So when the MC (Marsh) escapes the basement, he will find sugar canes eventually.

Bamboo trees do not have to be the most symbolic; this can be discussed later on to see what other objects could give symbolism! Maybe relating to the color orange because the infection is orange?

Also i got the idea of a section in the game where Marsh is alone and has a dynamic similar to Mr Hopps playhouse

another idea that I wrote down is this

The infection acts differently in each person

since all people are different in their way of thinking and personality. The infection does not fully control their brains and even lets their brains work with some huge changes or switches in their brains. And even though the infection would want to expand, this does not mean it will control its brain, telling it what to do; it will give a thought of spreading the infection, and the more negative feelings the person has, the more that thought grows until they become insane and do that. And when the person is fully infected, their victim's own brain will find a way to solve their problems or obstacles to spread the infection, each person's solution being different from that of others. This will also change the behavior of the victim, depending on the victim's personality, turning more violent or intense. For example, a usual happy person will become sad, a fearful one will become angry, a sad one will become happy, etc. The behavior of the zombie will be truly dependent on the victim's brain. The human brain is very intelligent compared to other living beings.

Zombie apocalypse update

So it's been a long time since I posted because I was busy with work, but I'm hopefully back! A lot of stuff happened to this project, such as a better organization, more art, and even school friends joining the project! It was very awesome, but still here I am to update on what we have now.

The name of the project changed from Aquakinemortophobia to ATIOFE, it was suggested by a friend, and is more practical to say

This is a new character made by a friend who recently joined the project, someone who eventually met Marsh and Cthu

And lastly, a conversation where Mica and Marsh meet, which happens just after the conversation between Marsh and Cthu in the forest, this what not made by me but by the friend who joined the project

"How'd you get that thing, kid?"

"What- what thing, what do you mean?"

"That purifier, idiot! Where can I find me one of those? Tell me before I take yours!"

"Ah- I don't know, sir! Ow, get off of me!"

"Where did you get that, don't make me do anything to you, kid!"

"I don't know! I-I just found it on my way, I'm just trying to find my mom!"

"..."

"Your mom, huh?"

"Kid, I can help you find your mom. But only if you let me use your purifier. I don't know if I have enough water to last right now."

"... Okay. But... who are you?"

"For I am Mica the Courageous, soon to be one of the world's greatest heroes!"

"Soon?"

"Well, I uh- need to get this whole- water- thing under my belt. I haven't had a lot of time, alright? But trust me, I'll be saving lives left and right. If they haven't heard of me yet, they will. You'll hear my name being echoed across mountains and through valleys from people seeing me in all of my glory. Heh."

"Uhh... cool. So, uh, do you know where my mom is?"

"There's a base nearby, quite a bit of people there but not all of them are... with us. You'll probably have good luck finding her or someone who can help us there."

"Okay... fine. How long will it take to get there?"

"Few hours, most likely. But, it's getting dark, it'll be better to stop somewhere."

"..."

"Well, shall we get going?"

"Yeah."

new character zombie apocalypse OC

So I'm continuing my zombie apocalypse story. I am kind of busy with schoolwork lately, so I might not have enough time to work more on this. But anyway, we have a new character in the Aquakinemortophobia world!

It's a robot character called Cthu that would be part of the plot line and become friends with Marsh. I took heavy inspiration from the sea monster Cthulhu for the name and a little bit for the design. Basically, this was a prototype who was specialized in water purifying and plumbing, so it's immune to water. I thought this character would be perfect for the story since it wouldn't be able to get infected for being a robot; it would actually be the key to saving everyone from the Ezits, and it would probably create a strong bond with Marsh, trying its best to protect him.

I have loved robot-like characters for a long time, so I made this. This is the first draft of the character, and I will probably give it another design later on. For now, I will stick with this.

Lastly, here are some ideas and notes I took on my phone for ideas of this character (I wrote these ideas before drawing and making its design)

A robot that is impermeable to water, a thing with no life in it that still helps Marsh. In one ending, the robot stays with Marsh for their last moments, Marsh draws a smile on the robot's face with his blood and the orange tint from the infection. The robot learns to be human and to have empathy towards other living species. The robot keeps Marsh safe in one of his compartments, making Marsh a vegetable. An endless fuel source that benefits both the robot and Marsh, making him "rest without leaving it". Another ending idea is that in one ending, if Marsh treated the robot badly, when Marsh is in its weakest state, he would take advantage of that, its limbs, and extend and retract, and it could have sharp claws? The robot would start cutting and opening Marsh's body. Kind of like the Dilophosaurus on Jurassic Park, and it would take all of Marsh's organs and use them as fuel, he would take its brain and replace it with his "brain," and lastly, it would take Marsh's skin and use it like a suit. Like the sonic the hedgehog Dead code AU.

Yeah, pretty messed up, right? Anyway, that's it, I'm probably later on when I'm not busy with school work, update the Aquakinemortophobia story plot. I'm lazy, weird, and cringe bye.

Pixel art OC Walk cycle

So today I had some free time, so I continued doing the sprites of my OC Marsh from the zombie apocalypse story I thought of. I am deeply thinking of making this a project and completing it, maybe a short RPG game. This was my dream for a long time since I liked other RPGs of that style like Undertale, Deltarune, Omori, Yumenikki, etc., so I'm thinking of making this project, my first small game as a solo developer, even though I still don't know what engine to use and only know Scratch blocks logic, I heard of RPG Maker and GameMaker, but for now i am still thinking and planning it out, plus i feel like i could improve better the story that I did. Anyway, too much talking here, are the sprites.

I completed Marsh's walk cycle. It was challenging to draw him from the side, but eventually, after some time, I got to draw him. I got inspired a lot by the design of Frisk from Undertale and Ness from Earthbound. You can actually see the similarities. I'm most likely gonna be busy with schoolwork, so I won't be able to make many posts this week. Anyway, bye, I'm lazy and cringe.

zombie apocalypse update, own story

Hey, so here is a small update on my zombie apocalypse story, and so chnages that i did. So an idea that I wanted to do a lot is develop a game, like a Japanese RPG-style one, so I started to plan a little how i could do that with my zombie apocalypse story and start a small project game, i still dont know how to start, i was thinking to first try on scratch or maybe game maker or rpg maker, i honestly dont know, but for now i have designed the sprites for the main character in the story, Marsh, so here it is, i used a free software caled libresprite which is like asesprite but free, i also recommend to use it if anyone is interested in doing digital art. anyways here it is :D

I tried my best to do the expression, and I also took heavy inspiration from Earthbound sprites.

I also did a writing template of the hero's journey to at least get an idea for what the plot was gonna be, since if I wanted to make a rich plot game to at least start as the beginning, since I am also thinking of making my dream game, the one I posted a long time ago, and I think was one of my first posts. So here is a small draft of how the story could go.

Incomplete: Marsh is a normal boy who lives with her mom, having economic problems, but still living.

Unsettled: A zombie apocalypse outbreak starts in the small town, and her mom has left for work. He gets to a base with other survivors.

Resistant: Marsh refuses to stay in the base to go find her mother

Encouraged: He stays, but plans to escape, so he steals one of the suits and weapons to then leave.

Committed: when he leaves, he finds people he knows infected and conscious wanting to enter the base, but he keeps running to avoid any contact with water.

Disoriented: he hides in an abandoned house. The suit is broken, and he finds a girl. He just stays in the house, trying to rest.

Inauthentic: The girl tells him he has to hurry to find her mother, and authorities might not help, but he doesn't listen.

Confronted: The girl tells him, he should have stayed and not been illogical; he could have found a cure to save everyone.

Reborn: Marsh decides to go back, the two of them.

Desperate: When both reach the base, all of the people are infected, his mother is there, desperate among the other zombies, and they hide somewhere. Marsh finds out the girl is also already infected.

Decisive: the girl tells him she has a cure. In the industrial radioactive laboratories of the city, there is a water purifier to use the cure on. But her mother might be in more danger, or he could go save his mother and try to escape.

Complete 1: Marsh goes through he crowd of zombies and goes to find her mother. They both go to a cra and try to escape the town. They struggle against the crowd of zombies, so the car crashes. Marsh gently opens his eyes again, and he sees her mother beside him in an unknown place, with vivid orange colors shining everywhere; both of you got infected

Complete 2 True Ending: Marsh runs desperately through the crowd of zombies. He goes to the industrial laboratory with the small sample of the cure the girl gave him, rushing towards the main room, he inserts the cure and presses the button, then a bunker appears, making him go inside and shutting tight. Then he hears a loud bang, and a flash of light goes through his closed eyes. After some minutes, he goes out of the bunker, everything is gone, buildings, houses... everyone. He just sits there looking at the sky in melancholy alone. He sees a giant orange cloud forming. Later on, authorities from other towns and places find him and take him to recover. Complete 3 Bad Ending: Marsh decides to go with the girl and escape as much as possible from the zombies; they both get deep into the forest, it's snowing heavily, Marsh passes out, and when he wakes up, he finds himself in the city, a festive celebration, everybody is happy and celebrating giving thanks to Marsh giving him recognition, the lights are bright vivid orange, he is lyingh on the snow, bleeding a orange liquid.

Well, that's for no, all I have. One last thing I would like to talk about is the infection, and give more information about it

The ezits: an unknown species that starts the orange virus, being truly dependent on onl water, and found dead in a meteorite that came to earth, to then revive by getting samples of water, the infection to truly expand takes 36 hours or 1.5 days, the infection can grow stronger and grow faster on the victim if, when the virus reaches the brain the victim has negative feelings, like: depression, grief, anxiaty, fear, insecurity, worry, guilt, emptiness, despair, etc. the fastest complete infection was of 4 hours, with the victim having extreme and intense suicidal thoughts. It will control the vessel completely, making the objective to spread the infection, by controlling the vessel's mind by water, conducting the electricity of its brain.

What truly fascinates me about this idea is that these types of zombies will not try to bite you or kill you. They will try to put you be into contact with the infected water in any way. They are gonna try ot spit on you, since our body can absorb water in any way. We would be like a sponge trying not to be in contact with venom. Anyway, I'm weird and lazy. Bye.

Dess and Asriel Theory

So I wanted to make a post talking about a theory I had, this light be wrong but I just wanted to share it since it could maybe be useful for someone developing a theory, and also idk if this theory was already made and it's not original. I'm not gonna explain a lot about Dess and Asriel being the Roaring knight but how they could have possibly become the Roaring knight. I got inspiration from my previous essay about the true lab where I talk about monsters and human souls. Anyways here it might be messy.

The term "Beast of Determination" is from undertale and can be used in Deltarune when a human absorbs the soul of a monster. Asriel, being from the Dreemurr family, is a boss monster and possesses a small amount of Determination. What would happen if he and Dess were to merge? What would this Beast of Determination look like? Even though Undertale has never revealed exactly what they look like, or shown us exactly if we become a Beast of Determination in the Genocide Route, Dess and Asriel's relationship has grown stronger, becoming best friends. But Asriel is now in college, and Dess is lost somewhere. What I personally believe is the explanation for who the Roaring Knight is, is Dess and Asriel, as shown in their battle patterns or their battle theme, "Black Knife" and "Burn in Despair," the song we hear when battling Asriel Dreemurr in his Hyper Death God form. But what I want to explain is, what would happen if Asriel and Dess somehow merged to become the Roaring Knight? Magic and determination are compatible, but magic and magic are not. Could they create an abomination? What would happen if the soul of a hybrid monster connected with the soul of a monster? We already know that a monster cannot absorb the soul of another monster, just as a human cannot absorb the soul of another human, and that hybrid monsters have a little determination but mostly magic. Perhaps I'm wrong about this, but they could have enough determination to create Dark Fountains (this is a weak argument since anyone can create a Dark Fountain if they want), and adding the great magic of Asriel and Dess's souls, they could possibly have too much power, creating something, something powerful like the Roaring Knight.
