hey guys important note!! I've moved Derek back to my multi @chivalrytorn. Derek will always be a beloved muse for him but not many people still want to write with him so as much as I'd love to have a million blogs I have to prioritize. I really hope one day there’s a random spark in the grey’s fandom again and I will gladly revamp this blog. Derek had never expected to come into this line of work. a surgeon was something he always knew he’d be, but a surgeon for spy’s and superhero's? never could he imagine. owning his own private practice, being head of neurosurgery, that was easy to see. but this was unexpected. but he couldn’t deny the opportunity had saved him from himself, walking in on his wife cheating, life turned upside down-- about to move out of the state when a man Nick Fury had approached him with a job he couldn’t refuse. although flash forward 5 years in the business, he had made quite a name for himself. && with that came a plethora of enemies, one of which had run him off the road, leaving him for dead. yet still unaware of who it was, he felt as though he was on constant edge. SMALL ADDEK HEADCANONS ( personals do no interact. )
1. It was just the wrong time, they were both heavily focused on their careers and neither one of them should have been getting married. If it had been later on Derek wouldn’t have pulled away and Addison wouldn’t have cheated.
2. Derek never thought about having kids with Addison ( not because he never would have wanted to but just because he was so focused on school and then his job that it really never crossed his mind )
3. Derek will always been in love with Addison, his hatred for himself and her in the weeks that lead up to the final blow out didn’t allow him to get closure. By the time they did end up recoiling they were two extremely different people and it was very depressing to really not recognize each-other that much.
4. Addison didn’t show up for Derek’s funeral because they never got the right closure, both of which are her biggest regrets.
5. There’s still a part of Derek that thinks about Addison every Christmas and Thanksgiving, but mostly his birthday because Addison would always go all out.
6. Derek lost all romantic feeling the night he walked in on them, although when she came to Seattle he genuinely wanted to make it work but he literally could not get himself to feel the same way about her.
7. Addison was the first person to ever call Derek a Neuro God and it stuck.
