short hiatus announcement

I’m gonna change a lot about my blog (well, technically its stuff I was already doing/wanting) and I’m going to update my rules and about pages and stuff. When I come back, my blog will be officially divergent and stuff. I’ll make a post about the changes when I finish them. I’ll probably also drop most threads too because Warren will be significantly different. 

I’m doing this because I really do love this character and this blog and I don’t wanna see it die like so many mcu blogs (or even blogs of mine) and so to keep up my interest I gotta do something different with it. until then, u can probably catch me on my mutant oc anne or on my cassie/stature blogs

As much as I like Carol… I just hate the Avengers so much when it comes to the X-Men. The Avengers are never there for mutants, and sometimes end up against them, hanging out with S.H.I.E.L.D. and their Sentinels. Rogue said once that the world already looked good to the Avengers and they fight to keep it how it is, whereas the X-Men see the world for how it really is, and fight to make it better. And the Avengers range from misguided nice folk with good intentions, like Carol, or straight up douchebags like Hawkeye who refuse to even see there’s a problem.

ive been reading a lot of posts lately about ppl doing mutant worldbuilding and sometimes its painfully clear these ppl are mcu only bc i just want to pull out comic pages and entire arcs about exactly what they are talking about but i would probably be sobbing while doing it bc mutants are my weakness and have been my entire life yall

Y’all wanna talk about mutants right? What about the mutants with the physical mutations and the useless powers? The mutants who can’t go out in public because of their mutations and any time they go somewhere – they aren’t stared at? The fact that there was a cut scene in XMA where Kurt, my sweet beautiful blue son, was so excited because he wasn’t being stared at really makes me emotional?

Y’all wanna talk about the invisible powers but what about the mutants who can’t smile because of their teeth? Mutants who want desperately to be loved and accepted, who are too afraid to be proud of their mutants? Mutants with illusion based powers and physical mutations that are encouraged by friends and professors to uses glamours to hide their mutations?

Mutants who get fetishized for their mutations - girls with feline features who get harassed daily; boys with wings who get touched all the time. People start making gross fetishized pornography of mutants; people start thinking of being attracted to mutants as a sexuality. People who start talking about how “it’s just their preference” that they’re not attracted to mutants. Mutants who start going out with each other because they are too afraid to go out with humans because of the way humans view them. 

Mutants who marry or get into relationships with humans and are attacked and hurt; they’re not given housing opportunities, or job careers. As soon as one act of mutant rights is passed, everyone declares that “Mutants have rights now!” But they don’t they don’t they don’t.  Mutants are still being turned away from schools, houses, apartments, jobs. Mutants with physical mutations unable to go to church or synagogue or temple because people preach that they’re demonic, that they’re come to destroy the foundation. 

Let’s talk about the ugly microaggressions against mutants.

“Calm down. I was called here. I don’t know why either. Is your Professor here?” he continues walking towards this supposed gatekeeper, his hands up in a non threatening display. He even lowered his wings some, tucking them as close as he could to his body even though they were much heavier and bulkier now. There was no way for him to know what this girl’s powers were, but she was clearly defensive.

                                                    there’s no answer, nothing verbal she can follow but his pain is a beacon, a pulsing light that blinks in and out like a coded message for help——— she closes her eyes and sees through his, a flash of image to be sure, but it helps, it’s enough to know she’s doing the right thing.

           ( despite her own fears, misgivings that stem from their last unfortunate meeting, she’s seen his dreams, felt him as though he’s right next to her && burning and jean— jean has to help. it’s what she tells the professor to have him send her to this barren wasteland he chose as his final resting place. )

                                                    ❝———warren, i’m here to help. my name’s jean, you don’t know me———❞ but i’ve found you, she thinks with relief as he comes into view, curled fetal as he is. her heart stutters but she doesn’t halt her approach. ❝are you hurt?❞

Are you hurt are you hurt are you hurt? It echoes in his mind, drowning out any other thought. Who is this girl? How does she know his name? He is searching. searching for answers. None come.

She’s in front of him now. (is she really? this is only in his mind. its always only in his mind. nobody would find him. nobody would want him. undeserving. he is undeserving.) and she is blindingly radiant. Who is she? Jean. What does she want? Him. 

I am hurt, he thinks, his mind whispering to her. Even in this state, even knowing this girl is looking for him, wants to help him, wants to help him, he still cannot ask for help. All his life, he’s never been one to ask for help. He’s always been alone. At this point, he was sure he was going to die alone.
