Can we just take a second to acknowledge that they are the only too characters in the show to who know about and are protecting a queer person.

Just like- stop the competition for a second.

I just wanna take a second and acknowledge the beauty of that. Amongst it all, we have their values and their love. The "we're not so different" of it all.

Steve and Jonathan are the only two characters who know about queer people in their lives.

Steve and Jonathan are both the first people a queer character felt safe with. <3

this!! past all the nancy wheeler love triangle, these two are just so lovely. they love fiercely. they protect with all they have. they are ready to take on the world for the right person.

and when looking at our queer themes, we see them at some of their best. god. tell me, how much does the reaction of the first person you come out matter to you? to me, it felt like everything.

to have these characters be their everything. to say you. yes you. i love being around you, i love who you are, and god, maybe your crush is a loser.
