There's two answers to your question, anon.

Answer #1 (the PR answer): "Oh, you know, they're an ✨ensamble cast✨! There's no El without Mike, no Joyce without Hopper, no Robin without her girlf— I-I mean, her male friend Steve (because every girl deserves a man in their life according to ST), so we're just putting everyone up for supporting because they support each other, YAY! Because they're all a big happy family who love each other (lol they're not). Charlie who? Heathrow? Joe who? Joe Queue? We don't know these people."

The fact the Suffer Brothers commented on their new and extremely unwanted live-action Stranger Things spinoff in that interview—that 1) was not Live and 2) was COMPLETELY staged—saying it's not focused on Holly and that they already have a producer in mind, and virtually no one is commenting about it online—and those who are, have expressed their dislike for a new show—really goes to show how much Stranger Things has fallen from grace. And how much that is the Suffer Brothers' fault. It goes to show that, yes, you can't please everyone, but you can sure as hell piss everyone off. Not even the most die-hard Stranger Things fans want any more content. And yet the greedy bastards didn't seem to take the hint...

I don’t mind Nikki either but I still think she should’ve been a boy.

My thing with Nikki, anon, is that she will eventually go away and then no one mentions her in the main series. Ofc, because TF85 comes after the main series ended, but in-canon, it makes no sense.

Like, I don't mind her—I was prepared for the worse—but at the same time, I don't think she was necessary...? Really mixed feelings about her. Again, I would have preferred if Tales from 85 had nothing to do with the Upside Down and was just about the kids being kids, enjoying their little free-of-the-UD time. I would have been more welcoming of Nikki and TF85 in that case. But at least we have the fanfic writers for that eh? Hahahaha!
