After this week, this gives me faith
he’s mirroring! cats do that to be social that’s also why they will lie on laptops or books. they want to do what their humans are doing because they enjoy being in the same room and socializing that way. getting him his own prayer mat was a really good idea bc now he gets to mirror without being in the way!
The other thing is that cats have a very good sense of time and tend to like regular schedules. If OP’s family members pray every day at the same times, in the same place, the cat knows the drill and probably considers this an official Household Activity which requires Feline Supervision.

Indeed We have bestowed great honor on the children of Adam, and have borne them on the land and the sea, given them for sustenance things which are good and pure; and exalted them above many of Our creatures. (Quran 17:70)

For some non-Muslims, it may come as a surprise that the Virgin Mary is revered by Muslims as well as by Christians. But the Virgin Mary (or Maryam, as she is known in Arabic) is one of the most venerated women in Islam, a status she has held since the founding of the religion in the seventh century.

Robert of St. Albans (died 1187) was an English templar knight who converted to Islam from Christianity in 1185 and led an army for Saladin against the Crusaders in Jerusalem which was at the time under the control of the Franks. Robert eventually married the niece of Saladin. Robert's conversion to Islam caused significant dismay among the Christians and sparked ill-will toward the Knights Templar in general.

study tips: the Muslim version
(I made this bc I have to retake an exam in less than a month and I’m having a hard time studying efficiently. Please keep me in you prayers if you find this useful. )
Dua before studying:
(Azubillahi minash shaitanir rajim)
I seek refuge in Allah from Shaitaan, the Accursed one.
(Bismillahir Rahman ir Rahim)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(Rabbi zidni ilma) 3 times
O my Lord increase me in knowledge.
(Allahumman fa’nee bi-maa ‘allam-ta-nee wa ‘allim-nee maa yanfa’u-nee)
Oh Allah! Make useful for me what you have taught me and teach me knowledge that will be useful to me.
Dua when studying something difficult:
اللَّهُمَّ لاَ سَهْلاً إِلّاَ مَا جَعَلّتَهٌ سَهْلاً وَأَنّتَ تَجّعَلَ الحَزَنَ إِذَا شِئتَ سَهْلاً (Allâhumma lâ sahla illâ mâ ja‘altahu sahlâ wa anta taj‘alu al-hazana idhâ shi’ta sahlâ)
Oh Allah! Nothing is easy except what You have made easy. If You wish, You can make the difficult easy.
Dua for concentration:
(Allahumma inni as aluka ya mudhakkiral khairi owa faakilahu owa amirabihi dhakirni ma ansaanihi shaytan)
O lord, I ask you, the one who mentions goodness and actualizes it and commands it, remind me of that which the shaytan makes me forget.
Dua for removing anxiety:
للَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَ الْحَزَنِ
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ العَجْزِ وَ الْكَسَلِ
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَ الْبُخْلِ
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ و قَهْرِ الرجال
(Allâhumma innî a‘ûdhu bika min al-hammi wa al-hazan. Wa a‘ûdhu bika min al-‘ajzi wa al-kasal.
Wa a‘ûdhu bika min al-jubni wa al-bukhl. Wa a‘ûdhu bika min ghalabat id-dayni wa qahr ir-rijal.)
Oh Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief,
from helplessness and laziness,
from cowardice and stinginess,
and from overpowering of debt and from oppression of men.
Dua after studying:
(Allahumma inni astaodeuka ma qara’tu wama hafaztu, farudduhu alaiya inda hajati ilaihi. innaka ma ‘ala tashaa’u qadir. wa anta hasbeea wa na’maal wakeel)
Oh Allah! I entrust you with what I have read and I have studied. Oh Allah! Bring it back to me when I am in need of it. Oh Allah! You do whatever you wish, you are my availer and protector and the best of aid.
Dua in the exam hall:
(Allhumma Akhrijni min zulumatil wahmi ,wa akrimni be nuril fahmi . Allahumma afta alayna abwaba rahmateka, wa anshur alyna khazaena uloomeka be rahmateka ya arrahamar rahemeen)
O Lord, please bring me out of the darkness of doubt and favor me with the light of comprehension,
O Lord, open to us the doors of your mercy and unfold for us the treasure of your knowledge by your mercy O the most merciful of the merciful ones.
Additional tips:
If you find yourself procrastinating at the time when you were supposed to study, push yourself to go make wudu and read the Quran.
If you feel anxious or just don’t feel like studying when you’re supposed to, go make wudu and do tilawat.
Try not to stay up late, but if you end up staying up late, pray tahajjud first to avoid procrastinating and to ask Allah’s help.
Go to sleep early and wake up early. Studying in the morning is more beneficial.
Add honey, olive oil, pomegranate, figs, dates, grapes, and black seed to your diet as they’re the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and also scientifically proven to be beneficial for your brain.
Have tawakkul in Allah. Remind yourself that Allah knows the best and everything happens for a reason.
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within is a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass; the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the East nor
This morning I finished Fajr prayer just before dawn by reading and meditating upon Sura 24, an-Nur (The Light). One of the most powerful and esoteric verses in Sura 24 is 24:35, aka “the Light Verse.”
This verse is very popular among Sufis because many secrets lie within it. For multiple Sufi interpretations of 24:35, see this link: http://adishakti.org/his_light_within/parable_of_the_light_in_islam.htm

Each Friday worshippers gather to pray and dance, while dervish elders spin the crowd into a spiritual frenzy. Brownbook reports
I’m posting this because recently I had the pleasure of being welcomed into a weekly Saturday meeting with the Mukashfi Qadiriyya Sufi Order of Sudan here in Brooklyn. Absolutely amazing experience of guided meditation. These pictures don’t do it justice. This, my brothers, sisters, and siblings, is the true magic of Islam.

We needs to shut the lips of our mouths and open the doors of our masjids, bro. We NEED the hookers, the gays, the transes, the mafias, the crackheads, the retardeds, we need all them praying next to us. As they are, not try to fix them or somethin’. You know why? Cuz angels speak to us through those types, you know, angels speak to us through them.
