Essa tirinha vai estar na zine que estou fazendo para cobrir os custos veterinários do Nero! Enquanto isso, estou recebendo encomendas de retratos para pets, cheguem ali no último post pra saber mais ;)

Estou recebendo encomendas de retratos de pets em aquarela! É um esforço para cobrir os custos veterinários do meu gatinho Nero, que está internado desde o Natal. Serão pinturas em aquarela com fundo simples ou branco, no tamanho A5 (15x21cm), custando R$100 cada + R$50 por pet adicional (envio incluso). Quem tiver interesse, pode me mandar uma mensagem ou e-mail com foto de referência! Quem não puder encomendar, mas quiser ajudar, pode compartilhar ou marcar todo mundo aqui! Também estou trabalhando em uma zine sobre o Nero, que enviarei junto com os retratos e colocarei à venda em breve. Nero é um gato muito desconfiado e ranzinza, mas companheiro fiel. As visitas não sabem disso porque ele sempre se esconde no jardim, mas ele gosta de deitar perto de nós e receber carinho na medida certa. Está comigo desde que era um bebê com a cauda quebrada, 9 anos atrás. Apesar de ser vulneável por causa da FIV (imunodeficiência felina), é a primeira vez que fica internado, por causa de uma obstrução no trato urinário. Ele não corre mais risco e esperamos que volte em breve pra casa.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio from Deadpool 2. They’re the first openly queer characters in any superhero movie ever (sorry Stucky fans, your thing isn’t canon), and while on one hand I was thrilled to see them, I’m also really sad that it took until 2018 for this to happen.

Hopefully they will be the first of many, but either way, they’re wonderful and cute and I love the fact they exist. And it’s really amazing to be drawing a queer superhero couple that’s canon for once!

PS: If you’re looking for more LGBTQ superheroes, I’d suggest watching Runaways, a Marvel TV show that also includes queer relationships. I love it, though I still think it’s less groundbreaking than this, because movies have such a wider reach, and usually aren’t allowed to try out new things the way TV can.

Portrait of another lovely friend.

I should probably be going back to drawing my comic by now, but I keep coming up with reasons not to. I think part of me is worried I’ll hurt my wrist again or that all this time not-drawing has left me rusty and unable to do a good job, and part of me just doesn’t work and is coming up with excuses to procrastinate. Oh well.
