Summary: Carlos never cared much for birthdays. Growing up on the Isle, they were just another reminder of everything he wanted to forget. So when his 12th birthday rolls around, he does what he always does—keeps quiet and hopes no one notices. But Evie and Jay aren’t about to let the day pass by unnoticed. With a little help from Mal, who may be small but would do anything for her big brother, they set out to throw Carlos the first real birthday celebration he’s ever had.
