ADOPTABLE: George, Australian Cattle Dog/Chihuahua Mix (1 y/o), Gansevoort Plaza, New York, NY • “He is adoptable through @heartsandbonesrescue. He is full speed! He loves to play, loves to herd. He came from Texas; he was a little puppy when he got here. He did get adopted and then returned, and it’s been kind of a sad story since then. He’s been with me for six months. His ideal home is somewhere a little more private. He does have stranger danger, so somewhere where he’s not gonna run into a million people in one day – a slower lifestyle. He likes to chase my cat around; he thinks he’s herding – but they’re friendly. The cat plays back.”

Storm & Eevee, mixes (5 m/o), 72nd & Madison Ave., New York, NY • “This is why she’s Storm – she’s a force of nature. It’s very fitting because she was found in a flood. They were both found in a flood under a house in Georgia. Evie can’t see, she had an infection in her eyes when they found her. You have to be a little more patient, get a couple more ramps in your house… they memorize their space really quickly. And it does help that she has a sister. People would shy away from that. It definitely is not like a normal dog, but the challenges are so minimal vs what you get in the reward. Seeing her be brave and conquering the world.”
