How's Mothra's relationship with Shimo in you kaijuverse au? Does Shimo respect her as a queen? Idk if in your au Shimo is this "mother of titans" like myths in the Monsterverse call her but, like, if she is, wouldn’t she be considered a queen of the monsters too?
I don't think Mothra and Shimo would fight at all, I think they'd get along really quickly but these kaiju "politics" in the movies are really confusing so I'd like to know your vision on it.

you're good! the question makes sense and i agree it's a little confusing sometimes aha
personally i sorta believe the king and queen labels are ones that humans ascribe to the kaiju, but they themselves don't reallyyy lean into those titles with the implication behind them. goji is the top dog or 'king' because he's proven himself to be - while violent and an ass - a leader who has a 'code' he usually seems to follow, and it helps maintain the balance that's mentioned throughout the films. like, he'll kill humans and wreck their cities, but only when they're actively fucking with him, stealing his loot, or he's fighting another titan and happens to be in a city
for mothra, obviously we havent gotten a full flesh out of what her relationship with humans is, but she's much more active in trying to help them/is benevolent (like grabbing the ship in GxK to save the humans)
for my personal hc, she's perpetually goji's counter balance. she's the sky and he's the earth, she's gentler than him(usually), he's more violent, yadda yadda. i often imagine she tries to play mediator with titans who are running amuck before goji arrives to try to placate and resolve those situations before he's gotta throw hands. but she doesnt view herself as a leader in the way that the title of queen would imply, she's just the best at communicating and that often comes in handy (like goji n kessho(spacegoji) would have never been able to reconcile without her help)
i do agree that shimo n mosu wouldnt fight, like, at all. girls are smarter so they know when to be reasonable and when to throw hands. i like to imagine that despite shimo's age (probably growing within HE before goji was even born is how i imagine it) she hasn't been able to be properly social for so long after her captivity that she comes across a bit awkward and unsure when she's trying to meet new titans, so mosu kinda helps that process while she acclimatizes. title wise, i think the mother of titans works, but i personally dont imagine her as being intensely wise and 'mothering' to all the other kaiju. she's lived longer and has more life experience, so she has stories to tell, but doesnt fall into any of the 'damn kids' or 'back in my day' stuff if that makes sense??
