Today’s General Conference in a nutshell.

How will I change after what I learned today in conference? Think about your behavior on the Sabbath day. The Sabbath is a “Delight”. Sabbath was made for man, not man made for the Sabbath.
It is to be a rest from duty, with healing relief. It is a day to rest and let go stress of daily lives. We are to keep it holy.
You must also have a respectful attitude towards the Sabbath, not lists of dos and don’ts. Ask yourself what sign do you want to give to God? Your attitude towards God on the Sabbath will communicate to God how you feel about it.
Your behavior on the Sabbath should lead to joy and rejoicing. Even important things may not be as important or necessary as keeping the Sabbath day holy.
We can use the resources on the Gospel apps to help teach our families and to have activities to do on the Sabbath. They are there to help you comprehend His gospel. Family History research is a good activity to do on Sundays.
Don’t find thine own pleasure, but find God’s pleasure. It requires self discipline so that you don’t treat is as any other day.
Joseph W. Siati
1 - God asked us to be Fruitful, and bring forth the city of god upon the earth. “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
We must abide in Christ, and invite those around us to join in our worship.
2 - God charged us to Multiply and replenish the earth. The body is the means by which we can obtain divine potential.
3 - Charged us to Subdue the earth. WE must not be helpless victims, but be humble and realize our weakness and seek help. We must focus on the Lord and not come to temptations.
4 - Have faith in God. With Faith in God, we can do anything. We must seek the gifts of the spirit. God will not let you suffer more than you are able. He has made help available.
Jorge F. Zeballos
To be responsible to our Heavenly father:
1 - Learn our Duty - We must learn to live according to his will for us. Having a desire to do good is not enough if we don’t try to understand what to do. The path back to the Lord is narrow, and it takes effort to travel along it.
2 - Make the Decisons to do our Duty -
3 - Acting Accordingly - We will face many trials. We need to repent and be obedient and patient, even if we don’t understand.
4 - Willingly accept the Father’s will - Even if it doesn’t match our righteous desires or what we think we need to do.
Neil L. Andersen
“If everything is going perfectly for you right now, just wait.”
The Lord is at the helm of this work. we may not understand or comprehend it, but he knows what’s up. Revelation comes from the Lord directly.
Sometimes we can see the hand of the Lord in other’s lives, but wonder how we can see it better in our own lives. But the Lord knows us. No one is too small or insignificant for the Lord to know.
The day will come when everyone will know Jesus Christ as their lord and savior.
Rafael E. Pino
Gaining perspective on life. when you see something very up close, it’s hard to tell what it is, and sometimes looks disgusting. But if you see the whole thing, it could be very appatising or good. Same with puzzles. The lord knows where each piece of the puzzle is so that it fits into the great plan of happiness, even if we don’t know where it fits or what it means.
Laman and Lemuel murmured because they didn’t understand the dealings of God, and lost their eternal perspective. But murmuring is only a symptom.
“If we looked at mortality as the whole of existence, then pain, sorrow, failure, and short life would be a calamity, but if we look at life as an eternal thing, ...then all things may be put in proper perspective”
God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and we have no business counseling God.
Prayerfully study the scriptures every day, every day, every day. The holy ghost will change your heart and show you things how they really are
whoso wouls hearken unto the word of god will never perish, Helaman said.
Robert D. Hales
Agency
4 cornerstones of religeous freedom
1 - freedom to believe. No one should critisize other people’s beliefs. No government can exist in peace except such laws are framed in peace.
2 - ???
3 - Freedom to from a religious organization
4 - freedom to live our faith. Free exersize of faith, not just in the home, but in public places. Don’t just pray privately, but let our light so shine before men. If you respect other people’s beliefs and viewpoints, then you deserve to have yours respected as well.
We don’t have to bow to other people’s standards and compromise our agency.
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
We must never lose our sense of awe or our profound gratitude for Jesus’ atonement. It is sacred and holy. God loves us deeply, wholly, and everlastingly.
The grace of God is wondrous, but often misunderstood.
Grace unlocks the gates of heaven - Everyone of us is unworthy to return to God’s presence. We can’t earn our way back into heaven, as we are unperfect, under productive beings. But through the grace and forgiveness of God, because of Jesus’ atonement, we can be made clean and we can be entered into heaven. We can be Born again of God, and be redeemed.
Grace opens up the windows of Heaven - Through these, he pours out power and strength to overcome satan, and trials in our lives. Through our faith, weak things may become strong. To whom little is forgiven, little is loved. When we are forgiven of many or large sins, we are more likely to love God more. We must love much, and realize how indebted we are to Heavenly Father.
We must be humble in prayer. Salvation is not bought with obedience, but by the blood of the son of God. Even when we are obedient, and even though the grace of God may save us, we must still strive to obey God’s commandments, out of love of him. “Let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly.”
God does not wait until we have exhausted every effort before stepping in and helping. We are all going to fall short, but Heavenly Father reaches out and enables us to overcome sin.
