SIR the label in Iljst, NL
The GIGI wrap dress by SIR the label has always been one of my favourite dresses. Linen w/ a hot-ass slit.
I wore it this summer paired with my absolutely sweet french basket, which I bought at a local store in Sneek, my OG hoops, a black and red bandana and a popsicle (2, actually). And what a gorgeous place to wear this dress - this cute-ass lil town called Ilst, surrounded by beautiful architecture, blooming flowers, lush topiary and the most typical-of-the-NL lil windmill which overlooked the water.
The dress is translucent, though. I wear a swimsuit under mine on a more casual day (like this day) and on fancier nights, I wear skin tone coloured underwear.

red, summer’s shade p.2
Apparently, red isn’t just summer’s shade.
It’s the shade of 2017.
It’s currently November and this colour is still trending everywhere.
To achieve this look, however, you are going to need the most basic staple - a red t-shirt.
Leeuwarden, 1st night in Holland. Cute cafe. Flattering dress.
Last post was the Bonn Print dress from Intermix btw. Shoes, Castaner espadrilles. This dress, unknown.

Réalisation par review : The Christy
The Christy dress is probably one of the first dresses I fell in love with when I first came upon the fashion company a year ago and now they have turned into a celebrity-favourite and necessity on just about everyone’s shopping list. The reason why this brand is so popular I think is because of the fit. My family together owns the whole Realisation store in our closets, and we have noticed that the dresses - specifically the v-cut dresses - can work for a selection of body types (big hips, big boobs, slender waist, small boobs etc)!
The reason I love this dress is because of its versatility. You can pair it with some sneakers, as seen here, wear a t-shirt under it or dress it up with some heels, a chain bag and a glass of champagne.
However, I do have one problem with the dress. When you look at this dress online, the fabric evokes a certain luxury-look. It seems soft and silky - it is said on the website to be made of 100% silk. Unfortunately, when I received the dress, I realised to my dismay that it wasn’t as luxe as it looked online.
After saying this, however, I would still recommend you buy this dress. Overall, it’s pretty damn gorgeous and just a closet staple when you aren’t sure about the dress code of an event or are maybe heading to a dress-up event after a dress-down event and you don’t want to change.
Also love most 90′s style things so yeah
Buy it.

CERISES 🍒 / red, summer’s shade
This summer I wore a LOT of red. And not-so coincidentally so did many other people around the world. As you may or may not know (and that’s why you’re here) - red was the colour of summer 2017. It also happens to be my blog’s signature colour so in the spirit of rouge, I have made a series of “rouge cerise” lookbooks. This is the first. Enjoy!
I have been really into tight-fitted bodycon dresses with buttons lately, especially of this tank-like fabric. It kinda gives me Karla Deras (of Karla’s closet or most recently, The line by K) vibes. This one is from a local store in Jamaica.
Also, you may have noticed a recognisable pair of sunglasses in these pictures. These are The Last Lolita sunglasses in black smoke from Le Specs. I bought my pair on Depop - which I’ll speak about in an upcoming blog post - but I’m excited to say that they will be restocking these babies, October 27th! so keep your eyes peeled and go get them before they’re gone!

summer days on cold beaches
How to : look chic yet comfortable
Below are some images from my trip to Holland. This is in Sneek. We went on a forest walk with Carmen’s Opa and then took a walk on the cold beach and ate popsicles. It was cold for a summer day which brought me to the birth of this post.

TIPS TO CHIC-ify your outfit (while still maintaining comfort) :
- Pair your outfit with some interesting accessories
I love these pearl earrings, I actually stole them from my grandma hence the reason they’re clip ons - she can’t pierce her ears. I am so excited because I found what looks like the exact ones here : https://www.michaela.co/jewelry/pearl-cluster-earrings
Tie a scarf to your bag for colour. I have collected so many now ever since I went to that thrift store in Sneek. They’re great for adding some personality to an outfit.
I would recommend looking on Etsy, Zaffle, Depop or Urban outfitters
boy eating ice-cream.
- And you may already know how I feel about @Levis.
Jeans are the way to go for a comfy yet chic look..& sneakers. You can’t go wrong. This outfit that Ettina (@bbiissoouu) is wearing is paired with a @realisationpar red bag.
the definition of casual
And the white button up appears again! You may have noticed that this outfit has similar elements to a previous post - I haven’t run out of clothes! The lighting was just everything this day and I felt that I must document this moment. Check the links below to see where I purchased each piece.
WHAT I’M WEARING
- White button up
- Hoop earrings
- Levi denim shorts
- Blue wrap
A “Lisa says Gah” inspired look
How to be “Lisa says Gah”
step 1. culottes of some kind
Mine are from Need Supply. Here’s a nice pair ->
step 2. A vintage bag w/ a patterned scarf
BAG : vintage
SCARF : vintage as well
step 3. Something sparkly or colourful
A.K.A. A purple sweater which I wore backwards to show a little skin
step 4. accessories!
This lil heart locket was from Etsy. I have a love obsession with Etsy. If you need anything, try Etsy, seriously.
Sidenote : Isn’t this the sweetest little shop ever? I found it in Negril, JA. It’s called Patsy’s.

I love Levi’s- especially the 501 model. They have the classically casual, “riding my bicycle to the farmer’s market” vibe (vibe or vybe?), and they go with every. single. thing. If your desire is to achieve a “chiquita” look, just put on a pair of levi’s. Another way to look “muy española” is to add some medium-sized hoop earrings. The inspiration behind these hoops came from an old picture of my mum. She’s an apparent hottie.
Doesn't she look very Latina-esque? Tell you bout dem hoops. And those jeans. Yes, those may or may not be Levi’s. Nonetheless, the whole outfit is pretty close to the one I have here, except mine of course has been accessorised with a basket. This basket, particularly, is from Thailand and I am in complete awe of it (and baskets in general). They are the ideal accessory to add a little bit of texture and low-key pattern to an outfit. Of course, I also had to include a bikini ; After all, Jamaica seems to only have one season - that being summer.
Lastly, the transparent blue wrap. Wraps are so diverse. They have no notable, fixed, one-way function. No instructions. All you need to know on how to wear a wrap is the word itself - wrap.
Okay, so now the reason you’re here. Where the hell did I get these pieces?
