Some recent doodles from my sketchbook that I liked. Still finalizing the story to my GNAR comic but have been drawing the characters trying to get in their heads. I find this helps me find the character's voice as I start writing dialogue.
Been way too ling since I have posted any updates on Tumblr. Anyhow heres to a new year and trying to be better about it.
This is a water fountian/planter I made for my girlfriend for Christmas. The water basins are all covered with a glow in the dark resin on the bottoms so that the water has a nice light at night. Learned a lot about water proofing wood on this project.
Haven't been great at posting pieces lately. But anyways here is a recap of show projects I finished up in the last couple months that I am proud of.
Some recent vinyl and resin plaques I made for a client at work. They came out even better than I anticipated :D Need to make myself a League of Legends plaque in this style :)
Haven't been super great at posting lately. Here is a model I made as a reference for my graphic novel I am working on. I went way overboard on what I needed but had a lot of fun relearning 3D. Did this all in blender, with Photoshop for texturing. Looking forward to making the other instruments for my comic.
Character designs for tge main characters of my graphic novel that I am slowly working on :) Really excited to see this starting to come together as it has been in my head for so long.
Some concept work I have been working on lately for my graphic novel GNAR :) Hopefully more to come soon...
Haven't been great at posying on here. Here are the projects currently going on in the woodshop. Working on a custom desk for studio space to give myself more room to draw, more post on that project soon. Also finishing up a shadowbox for a retired police chief's dress coat, as well as some open face frames for some prints I picked up at Savannah Comic-Con. Hey everyone :) Big news, I have changed the name of my blog. Don't worry tho (since I know you all are :p) I will be posting all the same types of work as well as my illustration and graphic design work as I do it. I was previously running multiple blogs and social media accounts, I am now needing a lot of them to save time and allow me to create more thing :) More post to come soon...
Some Yeti cup designs I did as gifts for the holidays. Really pleased with the boy scout design :)
More christmas presents! These are League of Legends themed steamless wine glasses I made for my amazing girlfriend. These were quite a bit of fun to design as the both of us are big League players :)
Got the priveldge to design and work on this plaque at the shop for the last week or so. Big shout out to my team at JDX inc. for bringing this project together with great success :)
2nd gift getting posted are some custom etched pint glasses for my buddy :) these are two characters from a fantastic comic he is working on called Imp King. If you don't know of his work already go check it out at impkingcomics.com!
Starting to post the Christmas projects I made for people this year :D this was a glass orb hurricane style candle I sandblasted and then made a nature display base for. Had a lot of fun with the nature display and want to do more of that in the future for sure!
Got the priveledge of working with this beautiful piece of Mahogany yesterday. We will be engraving it at work as a backer to a plaque.
