#INTROLA #wakawaka! Stay inspired. (at Mack Sennett Studios)
The average light bulb is often used to symbolize thoughts of brilliance and exellence, which is absolutely fitting in Blackbody’s case, however, their work is anything but average. Since the first invention of the electric light bulb by Humphry Davy in 1802, and the later invention of the incandescent bulb by Thomas Alva Edison in 1879, there have clearly been some thoughts of brilliance since then. Blackbody has found an innovative way to light up the world in an artistic, elegant, and gorgeous manner. Blackbody uses an organic light-emitting diode that provides a new use of light. This new technology of lighting, Blackbody tells us, is “durable, ultra-thin, light without heat.” The OLED’s lack of heat provides easier access to the bulbs, a better way to design light fixtures, and it gives off the purest form of light. They have used this new technology to build pieces of art all over the world, like the “MONTGOLFIERE” pendant lamp that resembles the Montgolfiere Hot Air Balloons in France, and the “RAIN 137″ pendant lamp that hangs in the staricase "L'observatoire de Paris." Blackbody’s work is both inspiring and breathtaking, and they are definitely sparking many more thoughts of brilliance all over the world.

We live in a world where”buffering” and “waiting” are evil words and the two paces we have are fast and faster. Amid this crazy life, having a company around like Drummonds who makes it a priority to produce quality, detailed pieces of art is a breath of fresh air. Each product is hand-made using respected techniques from years ago providing evident beauty in every piece. The Copper Tay Bathtub (above) is typically made of cast iron, however, upon request, the copper is hand-pressed onto the outside of the tub. The Wye tub (also above) is a classic, inspired by the 18th century “boat” bath with high sides that allow it to better retain heat.We should all take a page out of Drummonds’ book and stop living in the fast lane, take a breath, and take a bath!

Brands such as Ginger, Hastings Tile and Bath, and Ronbow have definitely changed the mirror selfie game for the better! These innovative designs have raised the standards for the average mirror with their new looks and high-tech features. Some models include features such as built-in Bluetooth, vibration speakers, USB and outlets, built-in lighting and de-fogger and much more. The “Signature Series LED” mirror designed by Ronbow (pictured above) contains a touch-activated LED light that gives the impression of a floating mirror, and the “Mira” mirror, by Hastings Tile and Bath, (also above) includes frosted glass and a back-lit magnifying mirror. These mirrors make getting ready not only super convenient, but fun! An anonymous writer tells us that “Life is like a mirror, we get the best results when we smile at it!” It’s definitely all smiles with these mirrors!
