3. Robotic arms have enabled timber fabrication techniques as precise and fine as Japanese carpentry, a tradition that has matured over hundreds of years.

The large scale use of wood in buildings can be a game changer for reducing global carbon emissions which are a root cause of climate change.

How can we design a campus as open to constant learning and discovery across disciplines as the internet currently is to enable entrepreneurship, democracy, sustainability and global peace through a search of intelligent labor models for dynamic economies.

A roof’s geometry defines it’s micro-climatic condition. How can we close the feedback loop between form and the building systems that enable climate control to design of a roof that mediates the exterior world when its climatic conditions are adverse and engages the exterior world when its climatic conditions are friendly?
