“The common room? Uh- not the worst option, but perhaps we could … find an empty classroom?” he suggested, though making it clear in his tone that he didn’t mean for them to find a classroom and do what plenty of other people used empty classrooms for. “Or just walk. I think that’ll work to. Just … be a really good friend, yeah?” He smiled as she took his wrist, but when he vaguely heard running longer down the halls he wriggles his hand out of her grip and placed his arm around her waist. Simultaneously, he sent her a look that said ‘please just go with it’ - then grinned. “What did I do? Oh, sweetie, I didn’t do anything. I’d never break a rule. Now, you don’t have a boyfriend do you? This is important.”
Honestly, Murphy couldn’t imagine that anyone would use an empty classroom for anything in particular. Maybe to get homework done without getting disturbed, but anything else? So she didn’t quite catch Sirius’ tone. At least she didn’t understand it. Probably for the better. “I’m always a really good friend. A great one acctually. Except from when I forgot your birthday, but that’s a long time ago now, and…” She was starting one of her usual awkard ramblings about completely irrelevant stuff, but his hand around her waist made her fall out of it. “Wh… no, I don’t, but… well, not exactly a boyfriend, but I kind of have a thing with someone, you know? I’m flattered, I really am, but this is a bad idea, and...” She stuttered, only now understanding the look in his eyes, rising an eyebrow at him in confusion. “Sirius Black, what exactly is going on?”
