Honestly, Murphy couldn’t imagine that anyone would use an empty classroom for anything in particular. Maybe to get homework done without getting disturbed, but anything else? So she didn’t quite catch Sirius’ tone. At least she didn’t understand it. Probably for the better. “I’m always a really good friend. A great one acctually. Except from when I forgot your birthday, but that’s a long time ago now, and…” She was starting one of her usual awkard ramblings about completely irrelevant stuff, but his hand around her waist made her fall out of it. “Wh… no, I don’t, but… well, not exactly a boyfriend, but I kind of have a thing with someone, you know? I’m flattered, I really am, but this is a bad idea, and…” She stuttered, only now understanding the look in his eyes, rising an eyebrow at him in confusion. “Sirius Black, what exactly is going on?”
“A long time ago, but it will never be forgotten, Murphy. So technically you owe me one,” he concluded. His eyebrows shot up in surprise when she mentioned she had a thing with someone - not because she wasn’t girlfriend material or anything, because she absolutely was, but it was Murphy. He couldn’t remember if she’d ever had a boyfriend before. “Wait. What? Who’s the bloke? Do I know him? Or her. If you swing that way.” Almost forgetting about his escape from the desperate girl, he quickly remembered it when Murphy used not just one, but two of his names. “Oh, erh.. There was just this ... misunderstanding. To put it like that. Nothing to worry about, really. Just .. walk with me.”
