kokichi kept himself toned down as much as possible. his patience knew no bounds, even with a condition like this. he was still amazed he never heard of it, but what he knew wasn’t important to the conversation right now.
“ mm… well you were having a huge life crisis because of some messed up stuff at hope’s peak, i guess. something something, loved one dying, turning evil, getting bullied… yada yada, yknow normal teenager stuff. “
“ but it’s whatever! and uhhh, my name… “
he let his arms fall limp at his sides for a moment; they were tired after being held over his head. he then raised one hand, tapping at the girl’s notebook at some purple text, with a cute scribble of a person. the same person standing before her.
“ but i asked if you could call me koki, hehe! “
he moved to peer over her shoulder, moving her hand still holding the pen, making it write ‘koki’ below the name with a heart beside it.
♡ — ryouko had froze with the person, koki, moving her hand to just write down his name. but what made her eyes wide was a certain sentence, forgetting everything else with just that sentence in her mind.
a loved one.
why was that...so clear to her? why was it making her tear up again? her hand that had tightly held the pencil could only make it's grip tighter, feeling ink roll across her hand as it was stained in it's cherry color.
huh? huh, huh, huh, huh, huh?
ryouko had quickly pulled the sleeve of her cardigan to wipe off the tears that stung her eyes, making her sleeve just a bit damp from them.
❝ a...a loved one? i...had a loved one? who...? ❞
it was so important to her now...just who could she have forgotten? the only thing she could ever remember was her condition, her notebook, everything related to that.
so...who was that loved one?
❝ di...did they have a name? anything? wh-who was it? ❞
she was starting to sound desperate when she faced the purple-haired boy, with clear worry forming on her expression.
