listen i know jade has her like mean girl cold-as-ice exterior shell but really as far as the canon goes tori really holds all of the emotional power... like there's almost nothing jade could say to get under tori's skin because tori has already established the armor she needs to deal with jade's insults. but jade... jade is so dependent on tori's desire for her approval that if one day tori stopped caring altogether whether jade considered her a friend or not jade would be in SHAMBLES because 1. jade knows how to toe the line between friend and enemy and if tori were to quit caring she could BE SURE she'd crossed a line that she wouldn't be able to come back from and she would literally never forgive herself and 2. it's like now what. she spends a considerable amount of her time thinking about tori and how to upset her that if the need to do that became obsolete she'd be bored out of her fucking mind and would miss her relationship with tori so much that she would at some point break and beg for forgiveness in some way or another. much to think about with these two
