i don’t even have anything productive to say just know i’m sitting here totally consumed by niallruben. someone else said this a while ago but it really is a show about the unseen. we’re shown several pivotal points in their relationship but there’s so many years and moments we’re never privy to. niall calls ruben in the middle of the night after his first few days at college & ruben immediately knows what it’s about, doesn’t even have to ask. “just say the words.” so they’ve had a conversation about this? “i need you.” it’s crazy. can you imagine the months leading up to niall leaving for college? how tense and weird it probably was between them as they clung to each other without really talking about why. the distance and the closeness that constantly ebbs and flows through their relationship
